With the annual flooding of the Mississippi River and all the Millions of dollars damage done and with all the drought in other areas like the current situation in Texas. Add with these, the high unemployment maybe we should revamp the WPA of the 1930's.
By being able to divert the water to other areas that need water we could prevent (or at lest reduce) the damage from the flooding and at the same time reduce the losses of crops due to the droughts. A project of this nature would create jobs and the bottom line of it all, the savings from preventing these losses and damages, would pay for the project in the long run.
Seeing both sides of an issue and thinking out of the box.
