Vivian Glover is a writer and freelance journalist who formerly worked as a producer for NBC News. Literary credits include “The First Fig Tree,” nominated for the Booker Prize in the first novel category. She is co-producer of the PBS documentary, “Shared History.” Glover was also the consultant for “The Marines of Montford Point: Fighting for Freedom,” the documentary chronicling the African American men who became the first United States Marines.

Mellody Hobson: Color blind or color brave?
Mr. Parnell, You might be interested in Felicia Furman's website "Just Like Family." She is the Executive Producer (and I am co-producer) of the documentary "Shared History" It was filmed just outside Bamberg, SC at her family's plantation, Woodlands. "Just Like Family" is an offshoot of that documentary, which aired on SCETV and on PBS nationally. Thank you for your comments. It's obvious why you were treated with such kindness.
