  • A comment on Conversation: What would you do for the world with $1 million?

Aug 9 2012: How many families suffer from one person being addicted to some form of drugs?
I'd invest the money to create a big think tank of people from around the globe in order to come up with an actionable solution of how to prevent the abuse of drugs which may be a cause for so many other harms and problems. One can't find real love in alcohol, nicotine, heroine etc.!!! How much money is being wasted in drugs that could be spent for learning/education, good start ups, food for the poor etc.???
  • A reply on Talk: Bertrand Piccard's solar-powered adventure

Jan 15 2012: I think he is till too much seen as a "crazy guy" or one who is having "his head in the clouds" (where I would rather say "above the clouds":) or not "famous/popular" enough yet. This may change in a few years though.

    Here's to the crazy ones...

Jan 15 2012: A very brave and wise man lucky to have the right connections from early on. Spreading his message slowly but surely in a humble way. The world needs more of people like him!
  • A reply on Talk: Bertrand Piccard's solar-powered adventure

Jan 15 2012: Your math may be right but I live in the capital of Mongolia where all is powered by coal and believe me I would prefer to have these solar power plants and use half of the energy I'm using now than having this air pollution! (Ulaanbaatar is the most polluted city on earth) And yes, coal is finite and some ppl here get very rich due to coal and the country's natural beauty and most ppl here may get exploited. True, creating solar technology needs minerals too but can't these materials be recycled over and over again?

A comment on Talk: Dean Kamen: The emotion behind invention

Apr 10 2010: I admire his passion. I can really feel he feels for his "clients". He really wants to help - from human to human, with the help of technology. This is the way to go! It's empathy.

But the true problem comes before the fixing of things. How can we help each other so that bombs (a destructive technology) that is our need for them are going extinct? His fighter wanted to go back and help his buddies. I can understand that after all the training (brainwashing) he got and sharing his life with there guys becoming like a family withstanding horrible situations. But it is wrong. These situations are wrong. Bombing others is just so wrong.

If he was helping people who had accidents, that's a whole different story. But then - I guess -it wouldn't be such a "news"-story.

A comment on Talk: Bill Strickland makes change with a slide show

May 18 2009: This is almost too good to be true. But it is true!

His story makes me keep on hoping and doing decent things for decent people. Hoping to meet and collaborate with good friends doing the right thing. Helping each other, learning from each other, believing in each other - no matter where we come from.

A comment on Talk: Ray Anderson: The business logic of sustainability

    May 18 2009: Very inspiring!

I'm a designer just staring off my career and searching for good examples in sustainable design businesses. Sadly and unfortunately there are not much good examples out there. Now, I just found one more. Thanks so much!
