Victor Lopez is an expert in international cooperation and development with more than eight years of professional career in relevant public and private institutions. He has lived in Europe, America and Asia. Victor worked at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) before joining his present position at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), part of the CGIAR group, a global partnership of organizations dedicated to reducing rural poverty, increasing food security, improving human health and nutrition, and ensuring more sustainable management of natural resources.
His academic background includes law, marketing, international trade, local development, project management and agricultural economy. He is also interested in public-private partnerships, sustainable trade, green procurement, multi-stakeholder processes, inclusive markets and corporate social responsibility.
