Ted Marsh Posted over 1 year ago Jonathan Haidt: The moral roots of liberals and conservatives Sadly, the broad brush statement is contradicted by the makeup in the audience in the video. The audience is made up largely of academicians, open minded innovators and progressive thinkers. Conservatives are not a homogeneous group; they are made up of different factions of bright strategic thinkers, moderates, religious fundamentalists, and the purely baseline ignorant. Academicians tend to process empirical data and drawn conclusions commensurate with the findings. Many the neo-cons presenting on Youtube start with a belief and then seek selective data to support their viewpoint. Both claim objectivity, but one side operates more from examination and the other from moral beliefs.
