What is the correlation between happiness and one's career choices?
The connection is not with happiness and your career path. The connection is between progress and fulfillment. The human being wants to feel successful. We want to feel like we are growing and doing well. A good career will empower you. That's why we link happiness with it. However, this is dangerous. You should not be getting your fulfillment from a job, unless you obtain it merely from working. If you lose that job it may impact you in extreme ways. Many professionals, after losing their long-held positions at top companies, said they were totally lost. They had become totally identified with their professional position. Do not become totally consumed by the identity you need to fit into at work. That identity should be left at work. It is not needed in family life or most other places. Happiness comes from true fulfillment. You need to become aware that you already have everything you need to be happy. Sounds like hippie rubbish, but I assure you it is true.

Norman Spack: How I help transgender teens become who they want to be
"They were out there suffering" Well said. Love my LGBT community. I am straight...but I have never understood the issues associated with these beautiful people. I really hope we can get past these horribly irrational biases and begin focusing on things that really matter. People like Mr. Spack are ensuring that happens. Along with treatment, we need some understanding and a little less hate...a lot less hate.

What's more beneficial: Revolution or Evolution?
Revolution is a symptom of social evolution. Society will go through evolutionary changes over time. You normally don't have a revolution without some sort of internal change or social evolution. Evolution is obviously more valuable. The goal of revolution is change. If you can avoid a revolution and simply evolve you avoid the negative aspects of a large-scale revolution.

Is a purely logical debate possible?
Logic is merely the set of variables you use to analyze a certain subject or object. The term logic is not indicative of truth or facts. Your logic is subjective just like emotions. Many times your logic is based, at least in part, on your emotions. You cannot have a debate without logic. A purely logical debate is preferred. If you aren't using logic you may be arguing based on random thoughts or ideas. Logic ensures that you are checking your thoughts for validity based on a set of predefined variables.

Do your feelings matter?
I'm going to make an animated video on this. Stay tuned. You may understand more of what I am saying after this video is done. I'll let you know when I post it to Youtube. It will probably be more interesting than this :)

Do your feelings matter?
Great post! I could be totally wrong. I enjoyed reading your post. I think I may need to do a little more research on the subject. I don't necessarily agree with everything you said. However, some of what you posted did get me thinking in the right direction. Thank you for the response. You are in no way intruding on anything. Enjoyed your posts very much.

What is your definition of 'freedom'?
Freedom is a very confusing word. We aren't free here. The word freedom would be indicative of an unrestricted state. We are definitely not unrestricted. In this context the word freedom really has more to do with our history of cultural oppression and greed. Governments exercise authority over people they don't really have. It then causes rebellion, instability, and the eventual collapse of said government. The Roman Empire was very well structured in comparison to other cultures during their time. However, certain practices eventually ended up destroying them. Well that and a massive invasion force. Freedom, to me, is more about cultural awareness. It's about letting people express themselves. It's about giving everyone the same opportunities in life. It's about checks and balances. It's actually really complicated.
