Peace Corps Recruiter – Burlington, Vermont 08/’08 – Present
o Planning and executing recruitment activities on local college campuses and in community outlets.
o Designing and implementing recruitment plan for the Burlington area.
o Establishing and administering recruitment office operations.
o Conducting applicant interviews and processing applications with Boston Regional Office.
o Increased the number of PC applicants, pushing the University of Vermont’s ranking from
15th to 11th highest volunteer-producing university nationwide.
Teacher’s Assistant – Intercultural Experience: Belize 01/’09 – Present
o Assist in the organization, management and execution of a group trip for 15 undergraduate
students to the Belize, Central America.
o Design and implement Mayan Q’eqchi language curriculum for 15 undergraduate students.
Peace Corps Volunteer – Belize, Central America 06/’06 – 07/’08
o Directed the collective effort of teachers, students and community leaders in the creation of a
multi-lingual community-based radio station for the Maya villages of southern Belize.
o Received $25,000 in grant funding from UNESCO for the expansion of radio station.
o Co-managed the daily reporting, programming and overall operations of station.
o Facilitated the donation of over $10,000 in funding and equipment for the radio station.
o Wrote a 50-page instructional manual detailing policies and protocol for the station operations.
o Designed curriculum for and taught high school courses in Computers, Chemistry & Economics.
o Organized the donation of over $12,000 in school supplies including: 10 computers, 2 sets of
textbooks, a set of World Encyclopedias and other general school supplies.
o Produced over 200 episodes of a daily news radio broadcast focusing on national and local
community issues and information to over 5,000 listeners.
o Coordinated community-service learning projects for 2 study abroad groups from UVM.
o Maintained a blog about my Peace Corps work for MaineCoastNow.com.
Research Assistant – Vermont Department of Agriculture, Montpelier, VT Summers ’04 & ‘05
o Collected, processed and cataloged data for the tracking of West Nile Virus through Vermont.
o Performed procedural duties involving sorting and storage of adult and larvae mosquito samples.

o Co-founded a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focusing on the assistance of undergraduate and
graduate students researching environmental and social issues.
o Raised over $20,000 in donations for research and community-service projects at the Initiative.
