Jane McGonigal: Gaming can make a better world
How about a game that solved a AIDS problem that has stumped Scientists for years? Video games in the medical world could save the world. what if we had a game that let people learn and study cancer? Just saying. http://techland.time.com/2011/09/19/foldit-gamers-solve-aids-puzzle-that-baffled-scientists-for-decade/

Mark Shaw: One very dry demo
This nanotechnology seems like it could have a diverse amount of applications. since objects travel about 900 times easier though gas compared to water, you might be able to put the chemical trimethylsilanol into marine paints and have boats travel more efficiently, or even a coating on a divers wetsuits. Magic Sand which some of you ma remember was made to clean up oil spills because though it repels water it attracts oil (chemistry lesson for another time) and then once it collected enough it would fall to the ocean floor and divers could go collect it. the down side to this technology, it hasn't been able to be mass produced to be cheaper. What do you think about this technology?

Is the 'Skateboard with a boost' a worth-while product when electric skateboards already exist?
The price of $1200 is too much for what it is now. and if you didn't notice there are a couple TED Talks that sound more like commercials than honest sharing of ideas. These skateboards right now are just overpriced toys, not saying that they are bad, just saying that people should wait for either the price to come down or the technology to progress more to make them more effective (more power, longer battery life, etc.) If your a person who wants a project to do this would probably be a great idea plus you can build one of these for under half the price as they are selling them for, and all the parts you need can be found at a rc hobby store and a board shop.
