Thanks Amy for such a wonderful speech. Also, Pastor Willis asked such an interesting and meaningful question regarding humility, that it made me think of the following.
Whereas many people want to feel more powerful, the other side of the coin pertains to people like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Richard Branson who are, in fact, very powerful and no doubt feel that way. The challenge for them is to not express their power inappropriately, either to themselves or to others.
I don’t think they’d want to use powerful body language to emphasize how much power they already have, in fact quite the contrary. It seems to me that it would be interesting to study the body language of such powerful people when they are relating to an audience. I’d think that they’d assume a posture that would not distance themselves from their listeners, either because of seeming too powerful, or too prideful.
