OBJECTIVE

My career objective is to work in an organization that is dynamic, provides an innovative, challenging and rewarding career,practices professional excellence and have a progressive capacity building plan to nurture my skills which help progress in their chosen area. I am a self-starter,disciplined,confident and goal oriented. Poised and competent with demonstrated ability to easily transcend cultural differences. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Program officer and Trainer (2011 till 2012)
COMSATS Community Development Unit (Abbottabad) (Unicef -funded)
The project involved activities related to WASH and Hygiene promotion funded by UNICEF. The hygiene promotion was in schools in regard to washing hands and drinking clean water. But it also included increasing awareness in community on the needs of better water and sanitation systems for schools through community mobilization. The role also included WASH education to Mother support groups and School Management Committee trainings (SMC workshops).Detailed reporting was done regularly on weekly and monthly basis.

Women and Children Hospital, Abbottabad.
Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Teaching Hospital,Abbottabad.

The House job was done in multiple wards due to rotations. The wards which were attended are:
1) Pediatrics:
• Managed Pediatric trauma and emergencies
• Performed procedures like Lumbar Puncture and Bone Marrow sample for Biopsy
• Counselling of mothers about their child’s health,pain management techniques and coping with such situations
• Running an Out Patient Department

2) Medical:
Managed different emergencies
Performed procedures like Lumbar Punctute,Bone Marrow sample for Biopsy,Paracentesis and Pleural Tap
Perscription of appropriate drugs and follow-up and Running an Out Patient Department

TRAINING PROVIDED

Provided trainings to different organizations and agencies as listed below.

 Trained mothers on Antenatal care, danger signs in pregnancy, danger signs in newborn, complications in post natal period, early initiation of Breast feeding, exclusive breast feeding, family planning and Nutrition for mothers and children.
 Trained mothers on Water and sanitation with Hygiene promotion in community to decrease the incidence of water borne disease in target areas.
 Training of Mother support groups, school management committees on WASH and hygiene promotion.
VOLUNTEER WORK:Actively participated in all the college campaigns to remote areas for the promotion of good health.
