Mar 9 2013: They are not. One of the purposes of television was to make us lose our self-confidence. "I am a horrible person", "I have a big nose", "I am fat". And as the time passes by we realize that we are trying so hard to be like an actor(actress) or like some celebrity. We have borrowed ideas: to be skinny, even though you look horrible that way, to buy stylish clothes even if they don't suits you, etc. (Sorry for my English)
Mar 9 2013: Because we are not brave enough. In my country a girl was killed in front of a crowd because no one had the courage to stand up for her. We are too scared of the consequences.
