I'm interested in how the efficient use of data can transform local governments and nonprofits. There is so much data out there, so much is being measured and computed to sell us things, and I know this data and the technologies that harness it could be repurposed to make governments function and interact with citizens better, to make people aware of nonprofit and government programs trying to reach them, and to connect people to each other to form more productive communities that do more things and have fewer meetings. My ideas on this may not be worth spreading quite yet, but they're getting there.
