More About Me

An idea worth spreading

while still believing in some kind of god, I wish human can abolish all forms of organized religion. Every human is unique, therefore every human should have a unique way to express their believe or disbelieve, and everybody should keep it in private.

People don't know that I'm good at

procrastination

  • A reply on Talk: Alain de Botton: Atheism 2.0

    Apr 20 2013: Buddhism is a non-theistic religion.
In the wikipedia, religion is defined as "an organized collection of belief systems, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values".
Theology is just an aspect in a theistic religion.
  • A comment on Conversation: Atheism is the disbelief in any God or deities but does that include a creative energy form we perceive or call a God?

Apr 20 2013: I think the problem is how do you define God.
I do believe in something beyond my comprehension and impersonal, that in some way designed the universe and the laws. This is just a believe and I can not actually prove this because as I said, this something is beyond my comprehension.
Is this God? Well, that is my conception of God. This is how I define the God that I believe exists or existed. Then I am not an atheist.

When someone asked me, whether I believe in a God who loves me, whom I can talk to, who will punish me if I don't behave, then the answer is no, and I am an atheist.

Either way, I am irreligious. Sometimes I claimed to be a deist to avoid explaining too much, and I came from a country where atheism is not accepted.

  • A comment on Conversation: Can humans resist 'opening the door' once they realize it's there?

Mar 4 2013: If you do not open the door, someone else will.
You can not guarantee that someone else will not open the door because you do not know everybody and you do not know how they are wired.
But if you do not open the door when it is there, you can prolong the preparation.

A comment on Conversation: Do right and wrong exist?

Mar 4 2013: One plus one equals two is right and one plus one equals three is wrong.
Rape is wrong because I don't want anyone to rape me.
The golden rule is to treat others the way you want others to treat you, and don't treat others the way you don't want others to treat you.

Why do we need objective morality? Even the objective morality taught by religions are biased and different between each religion. Some religions does not even have the same concept of God.
