May 4 2013: I wasn't trying to be rude with my first response i really liked your idea and wondered if it could be true. Now your response to that made it seem as you were offended somehow by me thinking of your idea as a possibility instead of just magic.
May 4 2013: That does make it fake it isn't the hypnosis it's placebo so it's fake. Yes the placebo effect does do something but you can do the same thing if you just trick your mind.
May 4 2013: I'm not a myth builder i was taking your insane idea and wondered if it could ever be real. Also i have literally no idea what you meant by the other 3/4 of your paragraph Are you saying you believe in human psychic abilities?
May 3 2013: They aren't good because of diversity they are good because they are tightly connected and it is quick and easy to pass information to each other within the system. Because in a sense i agree with you in that a society cut off from the rest of the world gets lost in their own time North korea is a perfect example. But you can't say a society where it's encompassing the species as a whole can't be diverse. It has the minds and ideas of everyone together it just means they can transmit information faster than you can even think within your own brain (as this would be a highly advanced brain which is better than ours now)
And for the immortality part it's absolutely true if you right now at this instant put everything in your brain into a computer you would essentially become immortal not as your bodies individuality but everything you know and believe in would survive as long as that computer did (which could be thousands of years).
May 3 2013: also, I don't get how I am "building on sand" I don't want an argument on the the argument I want people to think of this future issue as our generation will never experience this.
May 3 2013: ALL humans have the deep want to connect to others even those who are introverts it is deep rooted in our biology. And the truth is as long as people have nothing to fight over we get along it is prevalent in all of history. And yes i agree with you in the respect that humans now are selfish immoral and would never sacrifice their own mind for a mind as a while. But to say this can and will not happen is impossible to say we WILL have this choice in our future of either staying as a race of individuals or a race as a whole. The truth is this issue will not be a problem for us until far into the future but to say it will never become an issue is like saying we will never become more technologically advanced as we are at this point in time which is simply false.
May 3 2013: I never said God makes us more unified if anything organized religion does the exact opposite. So the beginning of the problem here is you believe in organized religion. This one mind system would bring all religions together with every bit of information out there and i believe when that happens we would realize how false organized religions are and they would simply disappear and become a part of history. And you are still thinking that this would be many individuals with the knowledge of all but it wouldn't be that we would be one person united in thought and morality. We would not only respect our fellow bodies but love them as we love ourselves compassion would be rampant. Also at this state evolution would probably be a thing of the past and we would make and alter our own future of evolution. Also how does a mind get sick? you mean like mental disorders?? because those would be eradicated as people with those problems are simply misinformed. Your idea of Jesus christ making us "special" is on the same lines of the earth being made for us, us being in the center of the universe that revolves around us. We are selfish in this sense but the truth is we are just as special in the same way every wave an snowflake is different and unique. We really are not special and that idea is from us not wanting to accept the fact that we are not something the universe has been waiting for. To the universe we are as special as the earthworms beneath our feet.
May 3 2013: Again the reason these people and groups don't connect with each other and even push each other away is because of their selfish individuality that make them fight over various issues. If we had one one mind those problems you mentioned would disappear. As for the removal of joy i don't get that? why would joy be removed, joy is triggered from many many different things. If we were all the same our joy would be from technological innovations and the advancement of our species. Yes you get some joy you get from individuality but A lot of it has nothing to do with that. you get joy from self fulfilment and inward enlightenment along with other major material things. Imagine the joy the entire worlds population being happy with something. That joy would be more than any individual could ever experience as our species as a whole would expirience it and that would be unimaginably beautiful.
