Kate Stone: DJ decks made of... paper
Wow! Nice ideas ! But if you look at it other way , it is only extension of touch keyboard nothing else ! Only keyboard part is handled by paper. Most of the work is handled by iPhone or Smartphone or other circuitry. But I liked the idea of Poster of a tree for energy conservation. Nice way to convey message in People friendly way !

Alex Laskey: How behavioral science can lower your energy bill
40 billion worth of electricity wasted every year ! This is only one area - one country. Look at other areas like Food & other natural resources ! We are just destroying our own living room ! I think it is high time we need to check the impact of human behavior on Earth. The wastage of electricity is being done because of ignorance of consumer most of the time. They do not know, how & at what rate, they are wasting. If they are shown figures, they will start thinking , after some time they will start talking & then they will start taking small steps to implement it. So this is a good step as far as our future is concerned.

Sergey Brin: Why Google Glass?
Well, I thought I would know something more but very much disappointed. Nothing new & abrupt end ! Google Glass as a product is good but the talk would have been much better - more informative !

Michael Stevens: How much does a video weigh?
Well, thanks for your input. I know Khans Academy. He is doing great service to society. What I want is there should be one source where you can have number of videos on same subject taught by good teachers & professors. As such they do not have to make special effort for this as they do teach in their schools & colleges. I know this is an ideal situation but if it happens, it will be great step towards education of mankind. There is an incident in great epic of Mahabharata. Eklavya - a great archer learned his skills just by observing Guru Dronacharya teach King's children. He became such a good archer that he was asked to provide his thumb as a gurudaskina - fee to teacher. Just think a village boy far away in a small village in Africa learning management lesson from a top Harvard University professor ! How great that moment will be !

Michael Stevens: How much does a video weigh?
Wow! That is the power of internet ! How about establishing a World University Channel where you can attend any lecture of all most all universities of the world - any subject - any language - any country. Actually every school and college should have one period every day to watch such videos of their subject of interest. What do you say ?

Keller Rinaudo: A mini robot -- powered by your phone
Frankly speaking there is nothing new in this video. It is an iPhone controlled small toy. Except from some ( rather expensive) playful activity, there is no real use of this toy which other toys can not do. it is an another infomercial. I think TED talks are for something that most of the viewers would like to learn, know, to be inspired or to follow. This talk does not provide anything of that. This days, it is very easy to make such toys. Everything is available. You can literally operate anything using any of your smartphone.

Why is India poor? What can be done to change this?
I think it is the mentality of people that makes India look poor otherwise if we look at the resources India has, it should not be categorized as poor. Look at Singapore, Japan, Korea - small countries but they have bigger economy then that of India. What kind of natural resources they have compared to India ? Much much less in qty & variety, still they are ahead. Instead of looking into future we many times live in past & stick to it. Change is hard to come. We should not forget our past but for good progress of any society future vision is also as important as the past is. If we just change the mentality of pulling legs to supporting legs then this tag will be vanished automatically.
