Manu Prakash: A 50-cent microscope that folds like origami
In my opinion, this will be a powerful tool in the future. First, it is an economic tool that can be distributed in regions with the problems shown on the video. Therefore, it will help to prevent, diagnose and treat several diseases. Second, this can become a tool for schools. Because of the low cost, for example, several students could have their own microscope. So, they could be more interested in science and try to do their own discoveries. Specially in the poor countries, most of the schools can not have a well projected lab, so these microscopes can make the difference for those schools. It is a wonderful project and a brilliant idea.

Birke Baehr: What's wrong with our food system
This was a simple, fast and great talk. While I was watching this I started to think how blessed I am in this subject. I felt this because my grandparents have a little farm where they grow fruits and vegetables in the most common and natural way. They do it with no sense of organic or sustainable food. They do it because they can really recognize the benefits of "natural" agriculture. The same occurs with the creation of chickens, pigs and cows. It's time to valorize the "natural" way of living instead of the"economic and easy" way.

Grégoire Courtine: The paralyzed rat that walked
This was a very interesting speech. Two things are clear: the emotion in the speech of the doctor and the future purpose of the research (help the people who fight every day against the difficulties of a terrible injury). The final phrase ("we are only as great as our imagination, as big as our dream"), for me, described the fundamental principle that should be followed by everybody who works for the evolution of our civilization.
