  • A reply on Talk: Seth Godin: How to get your ideas to spread

Feb 2 2013: You and I share an appreciation for depth. I'd love to learn more. Thank you. Let me see if we share any LinkedIn connections.
  • A reply on Talk: Seth Godin: How to get your ideas to spread

Jan 31 2013: Bill, you are very correct. I'm part of a few LinkedIn groups that actually listen, but I've noticed most people 'push' and few 'pull' with listening and asking good questions.

What are some ways you engage people online?
  • A reply on Talk: Jane McGonigal: Gaming can make a better world

Jan 20 2013: No I didn't, so thank you. Jeff, are you in business or employed in the industry yet?
  • A reply on Talk: Jane McGonigal: Gaming can make a better world

Jan 11 2013: Thanks Emiel. My wife and I took the class
  • A comment on Talk: Bill Joy: What I'm worried about, what I'm excited about

Jan 8 2013: Now that Kurzweil is head of engineering at Google, maybe they'll make some visible progress on several of Bill's points!
  • A comment on Talk: Jane McGonigal: Gaming can make a better world

Dec 26 2012: Are there any groups or conversations going on for those of us that want to apply what Jane challenges us to consider? I'd like to learn from others how to best reach this huge resource as a potential employer, yet I don't have any experience gaming or the right language.

A reply on Talk: Ernesto Sirolli: Want to help someone? Shut up and listen!

Dec 22 2012: Merry Christmas to you and your family. Asking questions can be a wonderfully insight filled experience. When you ask, try listening for a 'gap' - that's something they are dissatisfied with the way it is, and wish it was better. I bet you could discover a niche or a 'gap' that you could get paid to fill, right?

What would that gap look like?
How could you step toward finding a solution with what you already have?
Who could you ask for direction?

Good asking in your new year as well!
  • A reply on Talk: Ernesto Sirolli: Want to help someone? Shut up and listen!

Dec 18 2012: Same thanks to you. I believe you are the first person I've actually communicated with that has watched my work - out of several thousand viewings.

    Enjoy!

A reply on Talk: Sherry Turkle: Connected, but alone?

Dec 17 2012: Well said. This comes from a brilliant guy that scored 33 on his AQ test. Since I HAVE lacked understanding of social contracts, and hence believe digital tools are equipping me with insight and experience, it's comforting to hear that my time isn't being wasted.

    Thanks Justen.
