About Me

Not sure if I got rid of my TV when I found TED talks or found TED talks because I had no TV, regardless TED has had huge influence on my life. Since 2006 these thought provoking talks have been opening my eyes to the world I thought I knew, making me a better person (still work in progress!), helping me make a positive change in me and in the world around me

A reply on Talk: Shawn Achor: The happy secret to better work

Oct 18 2012: Tamir, The concept is very simple, no tutorial needed. You just have to write down three things you are grateful for each day, some days you might not think of anything but try to think harder. We tend to forget about the most simple/obvious things in our lives but going through this practice will help you see them. There's lots of articles about this on line...here's an example link for you:

    Hope this helps!

A comment on Talk: The debut of the British Paraorchestra

Jan 17 2012: what a beautiful idea but let's hope we can eliminate the use of the word "disable" to categorize ourselves. I work with what is considered as "disabled and developmentally challenged". I am inspired by their attitude and by how able they are. We all have our own disabilities being physical, mental or spiritual but everyone is good at something. For some, it's more difficult to find that talent but if possibilities and opportunities are offered equally, one day we will find everyone's niche and we will all live to our potentials.
  • A comment on Talk: Bunker Roy: Learning from a barefoot movement

Dec 20 2011: wow! as unfair as it may be to all the other amazing TED talks I've watched over the years.... this must be my most favorite, most moving TED talk! Thank you Mr Roy for demonstrating that it's far more effective to show a man (woman) how to fish than to catch a fish for them/feed them.

A comment on Talk: Jeremy Gilley: One day of peace

Aug 21 2011: Thank you Jeremy! having spent half of my life in war zones of Iran and Afghanistan as a child and then moving to Canada, I've come to realize that there's NOTHING in this world more precious than peace. Jeremy's talk brought tears to my eyes, just thinking about the possibility of that one day and it's impact. We talk about peace, we wish for it but we can't do much about it. Here is someone who dedicated his life to peace, who is creating a movement, bringing us hope, possibility and opportunity for a better tomorrow.
It's now our responsibility to spread his word. I urge all TEDsters to post this talk on your Facebook/twitter or any other social media page - maybe when we get closer to Sep 21st, to observe and recognize this day for what it is. Let's spread the peace we all wish for.

Apr 23 2011: I'm a TEDdict! (TED addict). TED talks have officially replaced my TV, watching few talks a day. This was the first talk I watched over & over & over, in the last 24 hours. It sinks in more & more each time. I absolutely love it. Thank you Ric and thank you TED.
