Nov 20 2012: What this man is trying to say is that not everyone is a scientist or a university professor. And what happens when you try to force an entire population into that mold? Inflation obviously, not everyone CAN be the next groundbreaking scientist nor are they meant to be. Now what happens when you block a child from their true potential is that they have to find worth elsewhere which may indeed lead to this savagery on weekends you speak of, because what they truly enjoy is rejected in the eyes of their role models. There will always be a place for math/science just like there will always be a place for dance and graphic design, all things are required to move forward...
