More About Me

I'm passionate about

The many benefits of the Internet, and the whole idea of uniting the world with my website, Dilpoint.com, for human development.

An idea worth spreading

Dilpoint.com - If everybody in this world used it to express their opinions about everything they know, we would have the best source of information in a couple of years. It summarises the likes and dislikes from around the globe @ single page per subject! Besides, it would be the easiest way of using the web if it was made everybody's homepage, as they could visit all their favourite websites with Quick Links. It is not competition to anything. It's simply the best way of accessing and using the web to its full potential. Probably would have had VCs banging my door if I were in the US!

People don't know that I'm good at

uniting the World for Human Development! I have a bunch of other ideas too... But think now it's time to focus on Dilpoint.com.

A comment on Talk: Steve Jobs: How to live before you die

Nov 11 2012: Too sad he couldn't live the 'few more decades' he mentioned in this speech. Truly inspiring.

I believe that having of an idea, and even building it up are easier than getting people to start using it. Zuckerberg created Facebook. But without people using it, it would have been useless. This task of getting people to use his products is what made Steve Jobs different. Convincing people is a mighty task... especially when it's a new idea.

To those who haven't seen Steve Jobs in the late 70s and early 80s trying to explain to people about Personal computers, please watch these videos on YouTube. They are astonishing too. You can see people who seem to be thinking 'boy... this guy's really crazy'.

"because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do..." This is what keeps me going :)

I myself am a founder of a website with a revolutionary idea - dilpoint.com. But I lack that 3rd thing that I wrote earlier about... the ability to convince people. I'm not a billionaire, I'm not a huge company. I'm only 25. So, I've time I guess...

A comment on Talk: Ramesh Raskar: Imaging at a trillion frames per second

Nov 11 2012: Makes me wonder how fast the world is moving ahead, how little we are, and where all this is going to take us. Truly amazing technology!

A comment on Talk: Eli Pariser: Beware online "filter bubbles"

Nov 11 2012: Amazing thought. Although many (including myself) aren't worried about privacy issues while using Facebook & Google (we don't have bad intentions anyway!), the fact that important, relevant info is being hidden by these algorithms is haunting. The diagramatic depiction of this during the presentation was awesome. We are being made to live in a closed environment, despite internet being born to tackle this problem.

No wonder many people of my generation are finding it difficult to add two, two digit numbers without calculators. We're shown things we're familiar with, we read what our friends share. Not many new things are learnt. Hence, no exercise for the brain. Hence, poor IQ and math skills.
