ShaoLan: Learn to read Chinese ... with ease!
Aha! That‘s exactly the way I was taught by almost every adult around me when I was just a kid, and now I often use this fascinating method to teach some kids as an adult. It's interesting and catchy, and it is really an easy and fast way to learn Chinese characters. Honestly, I'd say it is a great way to start the process but when talking about mastering a language, it is far from enough. :( And it is alway hard to learn something that you are not so interested in. But if you are interested in learning something, you simply wouldn't need these tricks.

BLACK: My journey to yo-yo mastery
I am so fantastically ENTERTAINED, so convinced by the belief that passion can save your life, and so shameful of myself for not being so committed to my passion as he is.

Young-ha Kim: Be an artist, right now!
If I can have a chance to have a secret life or secret lives, I'd definitely choose to be a baker in the day time and a painter at night! Or I will be a very geek-like female engineer at weekdays, but a violinist at weekends! It's great to imagine a world full of people of multiple lives. And maybe starting from this moment, I would see my bad habit of always finishing my work right before the deadline in a different way: it is more effective for me to drive off the devil at last! We may all understand the idea before we watch the video, but can be really start realize it after we watch it? I will remember : just do it!

Hyeonseo Lee: My escape from North Korea
Only the ones who have realized their true situation in North Korea are in real pain. Those who are still unaware of the problems in their homeland are not. The country needs the latter ones to change. But how? they don't even have the chance to get to know their real situation and they simply lack the courage to change, cause they now may be in hunger but still worship their "greatest leader" . I am a pessimist and felt so helpless each time when someone brought the idea of helping North Korea. Anyway, I am so touched by the story of the kind stranger.

David Binder: The arts festival revolution
I believe that there is a significant amount of art sense in everybody's DNA. But why there are still people who seem to have no passion for art? I guess it is because there is no art trigger around them. Festivals mentioned in the presentation can be a great trigger and they will get more people to know themselves and the world in a totally different perspective. That's when art can become a more influencial power and the influence can be subtle, then enormous.

Leah Buechley: How to "sketch" with electronics
Very interesting talk and wonderful technology. Especially the magic ink and pen ? When it can be sold to people? Guess it would be a great way to be creative with electronics. And the combination of art and technology makes it amazing.

Hannah Brencher: Love letters to strangers
My grandfather wrote me a letter with only 4 lines when I started university. I didn't take it so serious when I first got it. I thought it was just a simple letter. But during all those school years and years after I started my career , this letter often jumps out while I was cleaning or organizing my stuff or moving. It has always being a great surprise when I found it accidentally each time. It reminds me of the deep love and great inspiration he gives. This is what the Internet can hardly do. Technology has brought us a convenient but "distant" world. Thanks Hannah for reminding us to make effort to keep this art form.
