    A reply on Talk: Elizabeth Gilbert: Your elusive creative genius

    Dec 15 2012: What you said ties in with a magnificent essay I read on Brain Pickings entitled ‘How to Find Your Purpose and Do What You Love’, the first section of which discusses why ‘prestige’ is the enemy of the creative individual. Here’s a short excerpt: “Prestige is like a powerful magnet that warps even your beliefs about what you enjoy. It causes you to work not on what you like, but what you’d like to like.”
