  • A comment on Conversation: Debate: Is corruption a moral or a legal issue?

Oct 26 2012: Corruption is both a moral and legal issue.

The difference is when trying to fight it. My morals might differ from yours, where laws would be the same if we were in the same community.

A reply on Conversation: Debate: A case against homework?

Oct 26 2012: TED Lover, I partialy agree with you. We should look at the extent of the work that kids are taking home. The issue I see that waiting until their senior year is that it won't develop a pattern/routine. If they go to college or university they will have a harder time taking work home after class.
  • A comment on Conversation: What are some of the bad perceptions regarding human resources departments?

Oct 25 2012: It is very difficult to measure performance of HR employees. Other employees will have set metrics that they are accountable for and can easily be measured and rated.
  • A comment on Conversation: Debate: Should students rely on technology for their homework?

Oct 25 2012: The problem I see is that by using technology you begin to become dependent on it. As a student if you rely on your phone/tablet/computer to assist you with your studies, will you be able to perform well when you're tested on these subjects and don't have access to the resources.
The other issue is that if you don't understand how your calculator is generating the number, you won't understand how to interpret the results.
I had access to spell check when it wasn't on every computer, between that and being left handed I used to type all of my school work. Due to that I have horrible spelling and hand writing even in my mid 30s.
