  • A reply on Conversation: Is Necessity still the mother of all inventions?

Apr 19 2013: Creation of wheel itself was to make our life easier. But now one cant imagine a life without it. I wonder if there will be any concept of wheel at all in a 1000 years as portrayed in Futurama!

Apr 19 2013: We have started to set ourselves higher expectations each day, isn't it? And to fulfil our need for meeting those expectations we invent and improvise constantly even when there isn't much need of it.

A comment on Talk: Amanda Palmer: The art of asking

Mar 7 2013: I dint know her before this talk but now I would never forget this genuine, authentic and inspiring human!!

She believes in herself and her music so much that she is fearless to give it away for free and believes she will get what she deserved by merely trusting on her fans! Kudos Amanda!

A comment on Talk: Shabana Basij-Rasikh: Dare to educate Afghan girls

Feb 17 2013: Very inspiring talk.. Was very moved by it... Shabana, you deserve more than a standing ovation for your courage and determination to educate girls in Afganistan. I feel so lucky to have been able to be educated without all these threats. Sometimes the ones who get education easily are carried away by it and forget the fact that there are millions of people who are fighting everyday to go to school. If all of us realise this fact, then all can value education and put it to a greater use like what you do. Respect!!!
  • A reply on Talk: Cesar Kuriyama: One second every day

Feb 11 2013: It shouldn't be really difficult considering the fact that its so easy to get a handy smart phone with video recording option... once you start recording few activities happening around, m sure you will figure out a way yourself.... And moreover in my opinion "awareness" is the key to capturing interesting moments.
  • A comment on Talk: Cesar Kuriyama: One second every day

Feb 11 2013: Very interesting thought.. Its always nice to look back and it reminds us of who we are and what simple beautiful things we have experienced... I am sure we do take couple of videos now and then but how many of us actually streamline it in form of a single video representing our life activities? This is a excellent thought and would definitely make us more creative and interesting every day! Thanks Mr.Kuriyama!

And moreover this is exactly what "Memoto" camera (but just captures snap shots every second) is about i guess (http://memoto.com/pages/vision), but still worth it.
  • A comment on Talk: Wingham Rowan: A new kind of job market

Feb 4 2013: As this small trade model seems to be too good to be true, the challenge lies in implementing it. Some how I am doubtful about effectiveness of this business model. It just seems to be suitable for very small number of people who do not want to specialise in any field but go on taking any job available to them. and there are many questions in my mind and somehow not convinced as to how exactly are we going to recruit the right candiate at a very short notice period? and what about certain confidentiality of the company that may be shared as a employee shifts jobs at this pace?

Moreover today, in name of Globalisation and high unemployment levels many such models are being introduced! Well I hope there is at least one model that will actually "change" the stagnant job market today!
  • A reply on Conversation: All of us can make a difference..and here is how! "Small community talks"

Jan 9 2013: Thats a awesome thought.. a simple and practical solution for creating awareness on material consumption!!
  • A reply on Conversation: All of us can make a difference..and here is how! "Small community talks"

Jan 9 2013: Yes I do consider myself a courageous person, I have always stood for the right things, Like I have supported many causes for empowerment of women and demonstrated against child labour (Although at small levels), all these needs some form of courage to go out in public and give our your views that you believe is right. This courage may be because of having valid information or knowledge like you said.

But there are some things I am not courageous enough to do - Like swimming in deep waters or driving a motor bike on busy roads (although I learnt both, fear always stopped me from proceeding). I rem as a young girl my mother would never allow me near water or never let me drive a bicycle as she was over protective. There was a lack of support from her on these aspects because of which I was unable to overcome these fears in later years. This is why I felt, when you are young your parents or teachers do to some level inculcate courage.
