Living and working on Waiheke Island. An Island of wine. I work for Mudbrick Vineyard conducting wine tastings and organising guided tours of the vineyard and our facilities. Previously I worked for 6 years in London within advertising sales, but needed a change of scene as the recession took hold and my perception of the world began to change. Living on Waiheke I have become increasingly concerned by environmental issues, and the global financial climate as a back drop to poverty, deprivation and inequality. This has led me in recent months to re-evaluating my entire value system and I have made some big changes to my life, I hope for the better.

I am interested in the interconnected study of science, technology and human society. I am particularly keen to move our community beyond dogmatic assertions of human nature, to a broader and more scientific view of human behaviour as defined by human needs, within the framework of our environment. I dream of a world beyond money and politics. A world free from crime and corruption which allows true innovation, true freedom of expression and true creativity to flourish. A world where racism, bigotry, hatred, fear, violence, war, terrorism and crime have no need to exist. With current technologies creating an abundance of food, clean power and shelter, I believe such a world is possible today. It is now the will of the people that must change.
