A comment on Talk: Regina Dugan: From mach-20 glider to humming bird drone

Apr 30 2013: At Mach 20+, I strongly suggest using "super conductive materials" to repel all atomic and sub atomic material from making physical contact with the surface of the vehicle preventing heat and friction. By "creating a space (vacuum) in front of and around the surface of the structure" no friction and no heat transfer can take place. Aerodynamics are nothing more than ballistic trajectory once above Mach 7 or until under Mach 7.

In denser atmospheric conditions a leading ballistic projectile(s) can create rapped expansion of the atmosphere and a vacuum vortex following with reduced density (microwave lasers can be used to rapidly expanded atmospheric densities in front of a Mach 20+ ballistic flight.

Objectively reducing high speed atomic impact can be accomplished by multiple means. Not simply by creating materials that can "handle the heat".

A comment on Talk: Jonas Eliasson: How to solve traffic jams

Nov 28 2012: The reality of traffic congestion is that we as a race follow industrial standard work hours of 9-5 (U.S.) and this forces congestion, excessive consumption, and extensive over development. If we and industry attempted to create a more flexible work environment people would automatically chose "not to drive in congestion" as drive times are much shorter and more economically efficient.

Strange enough, almost every industry demands an 8 hour work day (in the U.S.) and very few would or have ever considered flex hours or 6, 10, or 12 hour work days.

We do not address the "demand", we just keep building larger, wider, and more infrastructure.....that is not used or empty in off hours and will be a testament to future generations of our ignorance.

As our global population continues to grow and expand these issues and economic feasibility will force changes in "our perception of congestion"

Nov 27 2012: I love the hippo story...life is full of them.....you need to run for U.S. Presidency....LOL

We spend trillions....and "don't even feed the Hippos"......LOL

Best of all luck in "Life's adventures".....
  • A comment on Talk: Candy Chang: Before I die I want to...

Nov 23 2012: I love the usage of "public space", once it was the ambition of a rebellious group of individuals to take control of government, "public spaces", and their futures by taking similar actions. After a number of attempts they founded the "Continental Congress, Constitution of the United States, and the Bill of Rights" which included the "First Amendment" (the ability to access information and express one's self publicly)

This dream lived on and was realized "in part" by hundreds of millions until recently.

Now our "public" broad casts, news papers, web sites, and other media used historically to "express one's self and relay information and experiences freely" has been taken and controlled by government and/or industrial interests.

Your effort to create a forum for self expression is beautiful and an endeavor that reflects the interests, hopes, and dreams of 7 billion global citizens. Your friends death, and your loss, has motivated you to wonder and explore the dreams and ambitions of others prior to their death, and in doing so boldly stepping into history and loudly speaking to the basic need of all humanity to understand, explore, and express other's experiences.

Admire your dream for it is one of historical significance.

A comment on Talk: Louie Schwartzberg: Nature. Beauty. Gratitude.

Nov 22 2012: There are many amazing things in our lives and on this planet. The most amazing items, that create "true wonder", are not the latest computer or complex software ...they are natural structures....the human brain changes when viewing ripples on water, a flower opening, a drip of rain, the texture of clouds or tree bark. We know and can prove the changes in the human brain when exposed to natures complex patterns.

We have documented the difference in behavior patterns between people confined to man made environments and those constantly exposed to complex natural structures.

Wonder and amazement comes from deep in our brain, heart, and soul. It speaks to what we need not what we want.

Someday, science will discover that color, texture, and interaction with complex forms of nature are what actually develops the mind, and complex neuron patterns which are required for development of higher brain function.

Of Course, this and past research is "classified" and access is "restricted"....for some reason....the one thing we all know in our heart, "we are deeply connected to all biological nature and need it to survive and develop higher brain function".....is a "Secret"......or is it?

Someday, we will discover it is not just "beautiful" it is a complexity that is required for advancement and "development" of advanced human nuero pathways.
  • A comment on Talk: Leah Buechley: How to âsketchâ with electronics

Nov 16 2012: Once, Long ago. There was a group of individuals that needed to design a number of devices into clothing that would have loved your inventions and developments.

They took very thin flexible plastic sprayed gold on both sides, layered the plastic laminations and created a flexible "circuit board" which was endowed with a number of phosphorous pressurized chip sets (hardened software). This was imbedded into a jacket that had a number of buttons (Spectral Analyzer , Geiger Counter, Chemical Analyzer, High Resolution Video, High Resolution Audio, a microwave tank circuit (power supply energized by satellite), and a high gain boost aerial made of conductive fibers sewn into the jacks. (allowing streaming data to the satellite but becoming completely passive without the rectification of microwave signal to activate the system)

Many of these jackets where given away to indigenous individuals traveling into unacceptably hostile areas resulting in the identification, location, and recovery of nuclear and biological weapons.

Sometimes it is not "if", or "whether" a country has a device but "who and how they came by it" that posses a threat of global war.

A comment on Talk: Georgette Mulheir: The tragedy of orphanages

Nov 9 2012: I completely agree but would like to add:

Many institutions use individuals who have no family or are isolated from family for; biological, physical, psychological, chemical, and behavioral studies (which generate money for the institutions and allow governments, Pharmaceutical Companies, and researchers access to a large populations in very controlled environments)

Governments, military's , mercenaries, and terrorist organizations exploit these "lost" individuals who have a "despite need for a social support networks" while in institutions or after released from institutions and use them for unspeakable acts.

Even in countries like The United States of America, which is not as progressive as you may think!

    And....it is not just....children!
  • A comment on Talk: Steven Johnson: Where good ideas come from

Nov 5 2012: I believe: in a world, where thousands of million dollar wind and tide generators are not failing because they cannot phase synchronize with the grid, regardless of their individual rotor speed. (generators can phase lock and generate synchronized power regardless of rotor speeds)

How? By using VSD VFD technology, I designed allowing generator/motor magnetic fields to combine or divide to control frequency, torque, and power output in electric motors and electric generators.

What I do, is hope for a better, smarter, and realistic tomorrow.
  • A comment on Talk: Steven Johnson: Where good ideas come from

Nov 5 2012: I believe in a world where electric motors do not cycle for AC, Heaters, Refrigerators, Deep Well Injection, Water Pumps, Waste Stations, or thousands of other applications. (they alter their speed and collapse (combine or divide) magnetic fields by adaptive interpretative design)

I believe in a world where electric motors (like in automobiles) do not need gears, transmissions, or more current at lower speeds to obtain more torque.

I believe in a world where automobiles do not need or have engine (compartments), transmissions, drivelines, or transfer cases.

I believe in a world where automobiles do not have brakes, rotors, drums, or hydrolic systems.

I believe in a world where electric motors adapt to the needs and will of the people.

How, By changing our designs to collapsing field technology
How, By not cycling engines and drawing hundreds of times the operating current in transient spikes
How, By moving away from solid cores, cases, and ignorant monopolies
How, By using existing technology and materials

What do I do? I dream a dream of energy sufficiency without sacrifice of a standard of living
What do I do? I create using existing technology.
  • A comment on Talk: Steven Johnson: Where good ideas come from

Nov 5 2012: Years ago, I was asked to design a VSD (variable speed device) to replace a hydrollic gate operator after a number of US embassies were bombed using them. I started to design a new type of drive system for a low voltage three phase motor for (Hy-Security Gates,)

The next thing I know the owner is attempting to patient my designs, I had Ford Motor Co., Baldor Motors, and Leeson Motors calling me and asking me all kinds of questions about my designs and concepts and how I obtained the results.

It turns out that I had designed a driver and written code that allowed the motor to operate from 0-3600rpms that was more than 300% more effect than any other electric motor and which allowed a very small electric motor to operate a 1800lbs security gate.

I had actually adapted a driver for my own motor I had designed years earlier and laughed at their surprise about the code and justification for specific current controls to avoid "capacitive coupling, core saturation, and inductive reactance)

I later found that my engine (electric motor) could not be built by Baldor Motors or Lesson Motors as they had been using the same tools and cases for over 100 years. They could not even wind the new design as they had equipment that would not allow adaptation to any new winding design.

To this day no one has even attempted a design remotely close. We all here the words of "lowering our carbon foot print and saving energy" but the ability to do so is beyond the minds of those that have the ability.

What I believe: I believe that electric motors can operate at any speed without the loss of torque, do not need transmission or gearing, and can be thousands of times more efficient by changing the design we can save our world.

How I did it: Was by creating a motor with a large number of fields and electronically combining those fields or dividing those fields electronically while changing the materials and drive current frequencies.

    What I do
