Oct 9 2012: I have another question,I just got it from your idea. What if the game company steal our money by useing its game rules. They can change them anytime they want.Several days ago, someone's real dollars are gone, and the company just said "It's the internet, not us cause the problem".
Oct 9 2012: As far as the "game masters" can do,they just give you a copy of your equipments, not give them back. They can't give back your money ingame. And the theft just need to creat a new account and do it all over again. All these things we are talking about is just "1" and "0".But when it is connected with real dollars in the offical market.Everything is different.
Oct 9 2012: That's a great point.I just thought we should do something when I see those crime. Some people just cheat or steal money in game and sell it in the official market or underground with real dollars. It looks like they are allowed to do so.
Oct 9 2012: As a gameplayer,I agree with you that ingame currency can not be bought and sold, officially or not.But the situation is the opposite. There has been a huge market which is full of crime.I just thought we should do something.
Sep 30 2012: As I see, they are quite different. And it may be wrong to do this in other areas doesn't mean it won't be right to do the same in online games. If we looking into history, actually we did something about games. There are some rules about games. We can't rule every single step of people's actions, but we should do something at basic level.I know someone living on cheating and stealing money from other players in the online games. They are having a great time because there's no rules and even no evidence in the online games.
Sep 25 2012: My answer is no.Machines works more efficiency and creats more value. The reason why people lose their jobs is the limitation of resources. In my imagination, when the space technology is fully developed, resources won't be a problem anymore. All the jobs will be controlling machines. Some one may think about robots. But that's another question.
Sep 25 2012: Yes,I agree with you that morality should not be legislated in a civilized country.I don't take online games just as games,it's like a small society. This is the place with no rules and it should be civilized to narrow the gap between the games and the civilized real life.We don't take it s serious because we thought it's just a game. But I know that many people play more than 5 hours everyday, some even more than their working time.Games do affect their life.We can't force them not to play, but we can built a better environment at least.Maybe laws is not the proper word.I guess game rules sounds better.
