  • A comment on Conversation: Why are you a "good" person?

Apr 11 2013: Maybe you just want to avoid getting punished by it? Care about mor ethen you have to? Some people i find care more about it then others. Usually when people are given a choise being helpful or not, and they get away with both the only ones that still tries to be kind is the religous people.

Apr 11 2013: If you would hurt someone and get away with it. Would you care?
  • A comment on Conversation: Why are you a "good" person?

Apr 11 2013: So you are just good be cause you were raised that way? Just because you are used to it? Following orders? You dont really think about it?

Are you really seeking social approval and you assume that being a good person means you will gain something from it?

A comment on Conversation: If I make a discovery what can i do with it?

Apr 9 2013: Ill explain further.

There are examples in history where some people have made important discoveries. But nobody remembers them. While others do the same thing but with luck happens to get extremely famous.
What if right now there is someone in the world that figured out in his head the Meaning of Life. So important in som places but it dousnt matter. He cant tell you. There is nobody to turn to! What is he supposed to do?Go to a forum online, make a blog? Nobody would care.

What if you knew that some things you get taught in school are lies. But there is no way for you to change things into the truth. You dont have that power/ Athority.

People take for granted that as soon as something new and important gets discovered they will have it at their feet but the reality is that there could already be someone stuck in a cave somewhere knowing everything in the world that you would need to know. But he cant reach you. His work is ignored. How could he not be ignored?

Even if you would tell someone then that would be it. It wouldnt lead to anything and only a few would know.

What if you have experienced something unique but its so unique people cant understand it. So nobody knows about it anyway. All your work and experience is for nothing.
  • A comment on Conversation: Has facebook status replaced true friendships?

Mar 22 2013: Well its a hard question. I dont think Facebook is a perfect system. Absolutely not. But it can have benefits. In some sense I dont think its a replacement of a social life. But a complement to it.

Maybe being social in other social medias or other ways are more convenient then Facebook. But Facebook can be pretty useful aswell in its own way. I can understand if your husband didnt want you to post something on facebook. I told my brother to not share some of his posts with my friends since I thought they could take offense to it even if it was just humour. But it shouldnt be a big deal. Sometimes i wait a little before i make status updates to see if I really want to make them. And you could have Twitter and Facebook. I am anonomys on other places online. Its different in different medias. Anyways. I dont have the perfect answer but I hoped this helped.
  • A comment on Conversation: Do we have free will?

Mar 22 2013: Maybe we get more free will with evolution. I think its safe to say our ancestors like the cavemen didnt hsve as many options as we have today.
  • A comment on Conversation: Is it possible to be too open-minded?

Mar 21 2013: Yes I think its possible. Its sort of like Pandoras Box. Being too open minded will perhaps make you so addicted to new knowledge that it hurts you.
  • A comment on Conversation: Science is developing the tools towards de-extinction of species on the planet that have become extinct. The question becomes; Should we?

Mar 21 2013: If its planned and not rushed into then maybe. To some extent. If it works. But its not good risking destroying current ecosytems. I think its ok if its not taken too far.
  • A comment on Talk: Juan Enriquez: Will our kids be a different species?

Mar 21 2013: The talk is very interesting but im not sure I completely like the ide to treat people as "robots". Systems can improve but im not sure I like to talk about people as "upgrades".
Though really interesting talk. Maybe it wasnt that extreme.
