Nov 2 2012: Actually the idea if implemented could really bridge the gap between the physical and digital environments.Amazing idea!
  • A comment on Conversation: Why is the U.N. about to impose regulations on the Internet?

Nov 2 2012: The government wants to control the internet so that people don't expose their secrets. So that sites like wikileaks don't spring up. So that people can't criticize them. They want to kill the democratic nature of the net and we need to stop them.
  • A comment on Conversation: Debate: Should students rely on technology for their homework?

Nov 2 2012: I do make use of technology to understand the concepts better. Some sites like Khan- Academy,Udacity, Coursera, Ted-ed etc are. really very engaging and help understand the fundamentals better. Once I have understood the concept, I like to approach the homework problems on my own. Of-course I am aware that over-dependence on these resources can kill my ability to think on my own so I make cautious use of these resources and advise other students here to do the same. I do use the net to research the topics to be covered in my assignments but I also make it a point to cite the resources and put in my own ideas and perspectives as well.

Most students, including myself, are visual learners. I don't get the concepts until I am shown a few graphs, animations etc. At school, there is limited time and a lot to cover. So most teachers skip these parts thinking that they are not important from the examination point of view.So i turn to the net to understand the concept.
  • A comment on Theme: Is There a God?

Nov 2 2012: Science answers the how and at times the what but often fails to answer the why. Who or what is God is something no-one has an answer to.But there are questions which we can't answer without considering the possibility of a God.

I wonder why did humans evolve the way they did? Why did we evolve to be dependent on our surroundings in order to exist? What maintains a sense of balance in the universe- for example why do organisms have a definite life-span, why do stars have a definite life-span? Why is everything temporary? Why do we have emotions? What really is nature and what has enabled it to maintain life on earth? Why do we have mass? What happens when we die? Do we end up in another dimension?

These are questions no one may have an answer to and there are several such questions. Whatever enables us to tide through each day, what maintains the 'order' in the universe and prevents it from falling into chaos is what I define as God.
