  • A comment on Conversation: Do we have an opinion about everything? If not, should we?

Apr 26 2013: I believe opinions are formed due to lack in knowledge on any given subject. I have to agree with Jacque Fresco in that we, as in all humans, use a language that is subject to interpretation. I don't believe opinions would really ever occur if everyone had a uniform language. Even on information we don't have yet. As Fresco states when an engineer puts a design up on the wall and says this is how this is formed. Another engineer won't say, well in my opinion it should go like this. The other engineer will offer either a valid or invalid alternative to which they use factual evidence to supply what is best for the design.

Sep 18 2012: I think the problem with a lot of people, mainly Americans, is we try to emulate our idols or people that inspire us, more often than utilizing them as motives for inspired improvement. I think everyone should have someone motivate them in a means of how they can make themselves better than that person or industry or profession or whatever it may be. But I feel the same way as you in a sense, I know there are people better than me at what I do however, but I do what I can to exceed those limits and make me the best. lol

A comment on Conversation: Should we limit our use of cellphones, internet and TV to get back our mental peace?

Sep 18 2012: Yes as long as its free willed and not something like government control. I have deactivated my facebook for about 3 months now, i didn't realize how much time it consumed, my workdays become more productive, I saw things outside downtown where I work that I never noticed before because going to and fro work I was deep in my phone examining the social world. I have been calm and collected and its allowed me to stay away from insignificant drama issues in other peoples lives. I'm also a musician and it has helped me see things differently not having the social world shoved down my throat so what I write now feels more natural.
  • A comment on Conversation: What religion other than your own do you think is interesting?

    Sep 18 2012: The Force...
  • A reply on Conversation: Is there some research conducted in the area of "Purpose of Existence of the Universe or God?"

Sep 18 2012: Well I do understand your point, but will having the answer change what you do on earth? I understand it could be relief or stress off the shoulders, but then again it could add more. In such a giant cosmos we are all nothing but insignificant pieces of star stuff, but as a whole we have done an outstanding level of advancement as a race. I cherish the fact that I am a human and not a lion or an insect, that I have the ability to think and create on a level that isn't possible for any other species but humans on this planet. I think Dr. Neil Degrasse Tyson put in a better perspective for me to think, in saying that instead of saying the universe is up there and we are all down here, he thinks of it as the universe is everywhere and we are apart of it. As he stated our existence is made up of the most common ingredients in the universe. We aren't an accident or part of some plan, somewhere in the cosmos this is bound to happen. So we are special in our own way. What makes you unique and what defines you and your purpose of existence, is what you do and the choices you make while you are alive. I personally cant think of a stronger reason to have purpose or meaning that the feeling I have for myself. I like to know that I was created because its part of a working natural system in life, not because some higher power created me. I just don't feel caring or worrying about why you are here is anything you should fret on. That focus should go to channeling your abilities on what you can do and provide for yourself and even those around you. Nothing is more heart warming to me than knowing that I am a living breathing creature in a working system of chemical reactions. To think there is a purpose outside of here would almost be insulting me and making me personally feel like a science project lol.

A comment on Conversation: Is there some research conducted in the area of "Purpose of Existence of the Universe or God?"

Sep 17 2012: Why does the average human question their own existence? I mean scientists ask "why" because they want to learn to better our future. I don't feel the average person cares about that really, they just want to know for their own selves. But my question to those people is "What would you do with the answer if you had it?" Become rich? Be on talk shows? Sell t-shirts? Unless your a researcher and your goal is to perfect our existence without harming our surroundings then why does the average person need to know? lol
  • A comment on Conversation: What if there is no ultimate beginning or end?

Sep 17 2012: Thanks guys for the input! I believe Jon Ho wrapped up exactly what I was thinking, more of a tesseract. I do believe in the big bang and possibly the crunch. I think just because we perceive things as humans to be of "life and death" is how we perceive the universe to work as well. I think it would be interesting to think that the universe cannot ever cease to exit, nor did it ever start. It only just exists, always has and always will, just an infinite loop of big bangs. Maybe even multiple universes infinitely looping, who knows? I just have never heard or anyone suggest that idea and I've always thought about it. I know it is a silly thought, but if at one point back in time you suggested the Earth was round, you would have been silly as well.
