The shape of happiness resembles glass. Even though you don't usually notice it, it's still definitely there. You merely have to change your point of view slightly and that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.. I doubt that anything could argue its existence more eloquently

  Aug 6 2012: I agree with Lesley. Blended learning is better. Several students coming out of K-8 don't even know how to use a computer. There is still a small percentage of people that still don't have internet at home. e-learning in high school education should only be another tool for assessment and organization.

  Aug 4 2012: I think you should read Laura Ruetsche's research on the foundations of physical theories, particularly quantum theories. I think the quantum theory approach to quantum mechanics is very insightful.

  A comment on Conversation: How would you become a Real Life Power Ranger?? ..

  Aug 3 2012: I think a hero would be a nice thing for people to look up to. Real life heroes like fire-fighters are great, but they don't serve to be the face of heroes across ages and nations. If I had the power through some power coin/zeo crystal/morpher/mystic force I would be a power ranger that stops natural disasters and end global threats with the rescue zords. The villain however is people who complain about everything but don't do anything to solve the problem. It's like the movie the Incredibles when the superhero gets sued for helping out in a situation.

  Aug 3 2012: Charlie Rose and the News Hour are great sources of information that don't give much thought to entertainment news.

• A comment on Conversation: What's the purpose of your life? What does that mean to you?

  Aug 3 2012: I want to leave behind me a more knowledgeable world. Through teaching others and helping the needy, I am content and happy with my life.

• A comment on Conversation: A college level course using TED as the driver for discussion, research, and learning.

  Aug 2 2012: I teach a course to undergrads using TED as a weekly discussion video. Specifically TED talks on technology and sociology. The course is a Technological Trends class and it is a great tool to supplement a textbook that can't be updated as often. I think building a course completely off of TED content would be a good writing course for first year students that can reflect on what was presented.

  Jul 29 2012: I have Facebook, but I use it to get to know more about others. Personally I use it like twitter, posting short thoughts.

• A comment on Conversation: Why is it so acceptable to pick on fat people? What's behind the media's attack on fat?

  Jul 29 2012: Media is the hypocrite. Always against bullying, but their own practices are nothing more than bullying. Society tries to force the ideal image that changes every year.
