  • A comment on Talk: Jonathan Haidt: How common threats can make common (political) ground

Jan 8 2013: Politics appears to be irrelevant solution for any troubles humans have on earth today.

Real "asteroids" seem to be addressed much better in Zeitgeist Addendum movie.

Solution seems to be addressed much better in concept of Resource Based Economy by Jacque Fresco.
  • A comment on Talk: Daphne Bavelier: Your brain on video games

Nov 21 2012: What about the task of making decision to engage and shut a gun in real world real humans? Do video games encourage solders to kill faster without questioning the orders?
  • A comment on Talk: Rory Stewart: Why democracy matters

Nov 9 2012: "Democracy" as described by this man seems to be possible in "Resource Based Economy" only (as defined by Jacquie Fresco) ... As soon as money exists - unequal access to resources seems to be guaranteed. Would you agree?

A comment on Talk: Jake Wood: A new mission for veterans -- disaster relief

Nov 9 2012: This is what humans shall be trained from very beginning - to be problem solvers not killing machines. (Jacquie Fresco)
  • A reply on Conversation: How will you spend your time and/or make a living between ages 60 and 100?

Jul 23 2012: 100 years ago the majority of humans on Earth would tell you with certainty: "humans will never fly - and it will be always this way".

A comment on Conversation: "Housing For The Future"

Jul 22 2012: One of the visions of near future makes us think that specialized robotic systems will build and modify the houses all around the world. One may not "have" permanent house in the future. However one may reside anywhere on earth he may choose at any point in time. If one decides to move today from one place to another computerized/robotic systems will prepare for him the new/updated house in advance according to his own preferences. Old house will be re-updated for other residents, transported to new location or recycled according to the most efficient way recorded into that system to preserve the environment at that time.

No payment will be required - since robots uses abundant energy and resources we have on earth to build/modify the houses and maintain themselves.
  • A comment on Conversation: The current (monetary, demotratic) system of society isn't prepared for people to live until they are 100 on average.

Jul 22 2012: In my opinion, humanity system moves fast toward a need for total new economic system. Not only people after 60s are no longer needed to produce goods and services but even those who are full of power and young.

Unemployment rates go up only globally anyone still expects to "create new jobs"? :). What if just in few years all of 7 billion people will keep in their hands a pill that will allow them to extend their lives for more than 1000 years? ("I work for GM 700 years...")

One may call "parasite" a new born since he consumes and does not produce anything.

What if the cause of "freeing us from jobs" appears not to be young or old age? What if the main cause appears to be automation and technological advances? Perhaps this allows one human to feed, cloth and house thousands like him.

What if as temporary solution we decrease the work time: work days in a week, hours per day.

What if as goal we choose to get rid of monetary system?

What if your future is to push few buttons on your mobile phone and this way: arrange food, shelter, clothing etc. for entire year - cause this may be the only action required from you as "job" in an robotic humanity.

In such model of economy - is still logic to have jobs, salaries, and "the one who works - eats"?
  • A comment on Conversation: What if Brands didn’t exist?

Jul 22 2012: Let's all pray to the God of Brands and ask them send us more "high"/"very high" quality of products :) ... Any virgins to be sacrificed? ...or you think is enough to post on billboard the product only?

A comment on Conversation: How will you spend your time and/or make a living between ages 60 and 100?

Jul 22 2012: One may see humanity future abundant of products humans need. Perhaps in very near future one's need of hunger, clothing, shelter, etc. will be satisfied by an robotic network available all around the globe and even some outer space.

Even today more than 20% of people (USA followed by almost every country) are "unemployed". In other words the other part of humans using today's technology manage to produce enough goods and services for all. One may consider also the fact that not all those goods and services really satisfy needs - some of them are based on "wants". Also may consider people who just wait for the end of the month doing noting productive to get paid (not because they want to - but because this is the "job"). Productive part (even today) in the most cases - looks to be done by machines.

One of the versions of answer may be offered here can be that we will not have to retire in the world where no one has job. All we may do that time is to travel, learn directly in the field and create/invent/update new, open source solutions for humanity use. Monetary system perhaps will disappear since it's not needed anymore in abundant world. Anytime, anywhere on the planet we will be able to benefit from shelter, transportation, food...

Tomorrow we may change our "job"/location every single day - and the only pay back we will benefit from may be that our ideas/results will get implemented in global technological solutions to serve humanity we are part of.

In fact, looks pretty hard to guess what human may do in the future since environment changes so fast that tomorrow may look completely an alien world for today's humans."
  • A comment on Talk: Peter van Uhm: Why I chose a gun

Jul 21 2012: We are not civilized yet. No country in the world had ever any "democracy" to make decisions this man talks about. He ask us also to respect the solders of USA that have 700 military bases in more than 150 countries and kill every day thousands installing the "next democratic country"? What is the need of man? He need some compassion? Well we appreciate his efforts being solder. However humans need more sociologists and problem solvers than solders - please give up choosing guns as tool. Our dictators push young to go to army - not to universities and academies, but to army - is this choice? I like TED talks... just this one makes me feel sad.
