  • A comment on Talk: Andrew McAfee: What will future jobs look like?

Jun 11 2013: Jobs evaporating of our sight... This idea really frightens me. As a middle school student, to know that regardless of studying hard or not there will be few jobs is a big burden. The thought that robots taking our jobs are second. Our unemployment rates are high and the ones who have jobs mostly work as laborers. Only the highest level of people are getting sustainable and economic jobs. However, with the developed robots coming, I think that people should be aware. Some people say that our lives will flourished with the come of robots but I think that it is limited to a few people. In my opinion, the economy is always heading towards havoc. We must try to even the well of people and outlive the "economy".
  • A comment on Talk: Denise Herzing: Could we speak the language of dolphins?

Jun 10 2013: Animal language and human language...Could they be called the same?? I think that we have the same purpose of language as animals do. We talk for our needs and animals communicate for their needs too. In the world their are a lot of languages and I think that we could accept an animal's language as just another language. I hope that some day we could fully understand the animal language and that Herzing fulfills her goals.
  • A comment on Talk: Anas Aremeyaw Anas: How I named, shamed and jailed

Jun 6 2013: Rapture? Profound and mysterious? This talk just leaves me open-mouthed. I know that his doings are for good but I don't like the fact of anonymity and his jailing of people. Africa is swarming with corruption and I think that Anas is doing a lot to stop the hideosity of people.

Jun 5 2013: Beautiful quote : Whatever you want, chase after it with everything that you have not because of the fame or the fortune, but solely because that's what you believe in.

A comment on Talk: Alex Laskey: How behavioral science can lower your energy bill

Jun 5 2013: Energy.. My ears are too used to hearing people saying that we should save energy. None of them inspired me a little, but the use of behavioral science to lead people the way was in a bit inspiring. First thought, a good idea to make people use less energy, but would be enough? I don't think so. He states that we are wasting energy with places we aren't at. The wastes are made by apathy and I think that we could reduce them by making public service advertisement.
I like his goal to make everyone ask the question 'How can we save energy?' and now I'm asking. No one has the answer for mass energy savings and I think that it will be like that forever. Our technology might develop enough so that we could decrease the use of our energy but the rising rate of population would demand for more energy. I think that we should rather look for a new resource that can support our demand for energy. My idea is that we should have an insight of energy shortage and just not waste energy.
  • A reply on Talk: Hendrik Poinar: Bring back the woolly mammoth!

Jun 3 2013: In my idea reviving the DNA of the mammoths would revive the DNA of the viruses and bacteria that were living inside the body of the mammoths. There wouldn't be a problem if the viruses don't come out but eventually the viruses will come out.
I'm emphasizing on viruses right now but to think of the mutations that might happen when the cloning proceeds, it makes me bothered.

A comment on Talk: Hendrik Poinar: Bring back the woolly mammoth!

May 31 2013: For me the de-extinction of woolly mammoths is just great. I don't like the thought of woolly mammoths walking around our streets but with a little protection I think that we could learn a lot from them. I always say that whoever stops the exploration of knowledge is a person who will forever be trapped in their own world.

Why should we revive the woollys?
People are afraid that reviving the woollys would make new viruses that aren't in our time. In a different point of view we might discover a new way for vaccine that works better than today's vaccines. Also, some people say that the extinction was inevitable and the mammoths would get extinct again. But, I think that by giving the mammoths a second chance in history, we might someday be revived by a different creature.
  • A reply on Talk: Jill Tarter's call to join the SETI search

May 29 2013: I disagree with you. Human's wars are just a big fight with a lot of damage. If there weren't wars we wouldn't have developed this much in technology. Like the saying that kids grow up while fighting, wars always have a good side. I'm not saying that wars are good, but I'm saying that if the fright of war stops us from exploring the universe we would always be a minor specie.

I believe that there are other life forms out in space but I'm worried that we would treat the other life forms as test animals. If we find life, the organisms would just be another animal whether it is stronger than us or not. In my opinion I think that it would be hard to find an organism which is uncivilized than us. We are looking into the past and when we find other life it technically means they are more advanced than us.

Why we need look for life? In my words it is just another man's ambition and curiosity. The search for extra-terrestrial intelligence is project that should go on forever.
  • A comment on Talk: Thomas Suarez: A 12-year-old app developer

May 28 2013: Borrowing my mother's words; "When a person is young, the person has all the possibilities of doing anything. A kid's dream is a weapon so strong that no adult can stop." I'm still a middle school student but I feel that these days most people don't actually have a hobby that they really like. I'm not just referring to kids but adults too. When people ask students what their hobby is, 80% of the students say playing games.(Percentageisnotcorrectsodon'tcriticizeit) Like Suarez I think that students should actually get a hobby. When people are young, supernatural abilities show up and with a little bit of effort one can change the world and I say that we should use that time wisely.
