About Me

When i was 7 years old was first exposed to service by acompaning my dad to do volunteer work at an elders care center. At 14 years old i started travelling to other countries to do educational and medical missions, which really allowed me to get a wider perspective of the world and sparked an interest in margenalized communities. This interest allowed me to get involved in an enviromental/human rights movement for the Island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. As a community facilitator as part of an art project it allowed me to live in 20 different communities of Puerto Rico. While i was doing that i always took time to visit other countries like Venezuela, México, Nicaragua and Dominican Republic. These travelling opportunities opened doors for me to coordinate medical missions to Ghana, África and Guatemala. I am currently studying a Master's Degree in Sociology and working as a coordinador for the youth prevention program Brega Bien where we provide prevention and education skills, as well as media tools for high risk youth between the ages of 13 - 24.
