Chrystia Freeland: The rise of the new global super-rich
I couldn't have said it better! Your comments show that you are one of the few remaining "thinkers" and that you apparently know what's really going on in a world that was deliberately brainwashed by the Elites over the last 20 years by using such distorted media as FOXy mis-News to cause division rather than unity, while at the same time overworking their employees, cutting their pay/benefits, etc. resulting in so much stress that many are no longer even able to "think" straight and, many, even in their 20's & 30's, are having memory failure also caused by STRESS. Ross Perot warned us in 1991 of what the GREEDY had planned for us (they shared their plans with him; he ran for President only because he felt it was his duty to prevent their plans from developing). Unfortunately, the people didn't listen...and now, everything he predicted has come to fruition. The question is what now? You offer some excellent solutions and I hope more people will WAKE UP so that by uniting, instead of dividing, this can be turned around. The earth belongs to every human being...not just to those who take so much more than any human needs to be happy and well. Thanks to Ronald Reagan's DE-regulations. Clearly, Capitalism can only work when it is well-regulated by government...otherwise, eventually, a tiny percent acquire everything (much of it by inheritance--not HARD Work or Intelligence!!!). Our only hope is to demand "Public Campaign Funding" so that our elected politicians will vote for The People, rather than for their Wealthy Campaign Donors.

Russell Foster: Why do we sleep?
Sean: Either you are very young...or very immature. Good luck to you and to your patients for they will surely need it. When we get out of our EGO, we understand Ed Moody's statement: "Do all the good you can, for all the people you can, for as long as you can." That is the purpose of life and the road to Inner Peace and Self-Realization. We are all in the business of "Life" together.

Russell Foster: Why do we sleep?
Sean: Providing information is not lecturing...although when someone gets "insulted" (by Mr. Foster's joke no less), perhaps they need to get some therapy to understand that those who know who they are cannot be insulted by the comments of another person. How we react to others is based on our own lack of Self Esteem. Life isn't about getting insulted. It's about growing as a human being and helping others to grow to their highest potential as well. That is the secret to true happiness. Btw, I'm also a counselor and I wasn't insulted!

Russell Foster: Why do we sleep?
There was nothing insulting in Mr. Foster's entire speech. Perhaps you are overly sensitive which could also be caused by lack of sleep. There has been plenty of similar findings on the importance of sleep--in fact, the most recent researches found that ALL HUMANS need 8 hours of sleep per night or more (minimum 7 hours) as opposed to the former belief that everyone needs a different amount of sleep (e.g. some 2 hours some 5 etc.) What they have found is that lack of sleep when young shows up evertually causing earlier aging and poorer health than those who have regularly maintained good regular sleep patterns.

Eli Beer: The fastest ambulance? A motorcycle
How wonderful! It warms my heart that, in spite of all the self-centered people in the world, there are also people like this man who care about others and will go the distance to help them. It's so true that, in spite of right of way for ambulances and fire engines, there are still so many holdups before such huge vehicles can make it to their destinations. I love the idea of neighbohood as well--where the volunteers are very closeby and can arrive in 3 to 5 minutes in an emergency. I agree too with the comment that Early Education should not be just about Academics, but also include practical tlhings like First Aid, Manners, Communication (especially HOW to LISTEN and WHY--not just command children to Listen), and HOW to Study--not just give assignments, so that they are well prepared when they reach high school and college. Many intelligent people are wasted because they were never given the necessary tools of survival.

Hyeonseo Lee: My escape from North Korea
Kim needs to go! It's astounding to me that in this time in civilization, we are still not MORE advanced in the art of Humanity. In spite of History and the experience of all who preceded us, we seem to be standing still or even going backward in many ways. The Earth and all that it contains belongs to EVERY single living being; there is enough for everyone, as long as a tiny percent doesn't try to take it all in order to control others (which is actually a sickness!). Our nations need to focus on Personal Growth and Development while making a better world for Everyone, not gobbling up land, oil, etc. while leaving so many others hungry, suffering, barely existilng, abused and imprisoned--just basically for the sake of Sport!

Hyeonseo Lee: My escape from North Korea
This young lady is a living example of determination and courage. If everyone would do their part, not only in this matter, but in every possible opportunity to help others, including strangers, we could have Heaven right here on Earth. True Happiness is the result of kindness and love--based on how we treat one another. There are only two (2) True Emotions: "LOVE " and "FEAR." Anything that is not coming out of "Love" is coming out of "Fear" e.g. Greed, Jealousy, Selfishness, Low Self Esteem, Exclusivity, Lying, Stealing, Cruelty, Anger, Violence, Distrust, etc. (Fear of not having enough or not being good enough). We can all feel good about ourselves when we stand up for others and when we help everyone we can--even in small, every day situations. Only then can any human realize the ultimate state of "Being" called "Inner Peace" from which all lasting Joy is found. AMERICA, please, let's see how we can do our share to unite N. & S. Korea--not for gain, territory, or Corporate Greed, but just because it's the right thing to do.

John Searle: Our shared condition -- consciousness
This is true...that the brain can't stop; its thoughts are constantly bouncing about. And...we have the power to control them...hopefully our own thoughts, although there are many who like to control the thoughts of ohers as in brainwashing (e.g. today's media, advertisers, politicians, corporations, etc.) and it is the "unconscious" who buy their propaganda (e.g. multi-tasking, invented by corporations, which, in fact, is causing many of today's problems of defective products, incorrect billing, recordkeeping, atrocious journalism/editing, technical programming, etc. Although the brain can hold many ideas, it can only focus on ONE thought at any given instant. When we multi-task, we are not able to pay attention to the immediate task at hand...resulting in excessive mistakes which could have been prevented, thus saving hours of undoing and redoing. "Do it right; do it once." That is the approach for those who remain "Conscious." To be "unconscious" is to go through the motions...minus the necessary thought. To be "conscious" is to go through the motions with the accompanying thought. A friend once lost his tennis shoes just before a tennis match. He later found them in his refrigerator. He had "unconsciously" placed them there instead of in his gym bag. To be "unconscious" means that the mind is in a different place than the task at hand. Just because we study one subject does not mean that it must be in conflict with another. This is where the mind comes in...to discern and search for the TRUTH. Psychology (which deals with the mind) has nothing to do with religion (which deals with the soul and the unknown).
