A comment on Talk: Shawn Achor: The happy secret to better work

Jun 29 2012: i absolutely love this talk. i think people who always have gratitude in their heart tend to have more luck in life. just think about how many people dies everyday in this world and how lucky we are to be alive, we should treasure every minute of our life and stop wasting those time on complaining or thinking negatively. What makes some people successful are their positive way of thinking, and just like Shawn said in the talk, it does take us time to change our thinking habit. So, i m gonna start with writing 3 gratitudes everyday and let the miracles happen :D

Jun 28 2012: gosh, i am so surprised to see members as young as you on this forum, cool! Listen, never sacrifice your love for reading just for those required school works, but i bet you will do great since you realize the problem at such an early stage. :D

Jun 28 2012: like 5 or 6, and i just finished reading a book called "the hunger games", well, it is popular and an easy-to-read type.. i would recommend "to kill a mockingbird" which is a classic but tells a really moving story. and Amy Tan's the kitchen god's wife, cause since i am a Chinese, Amy's book really got me related. :D

A comment on Talk: Susan Cain: The power of introverts

Jun 25 2012: Saturday night, we can go out and get high with friends, or we can read a book quietly in our beds. Whichever makes us happy wins and don't stress too much on which will make us an introvert or an extrovert, cause there's no 100% introvert or extrovert. Don't let those stereotypes define who we are.

Personally, i love making friends and am not afraid of meeting new people at all, but i also enjoy spending time with myself and ask the me inside "how do i feel" and "what i really want". Solitude makes me think real hard and deep, makes me a more mature individual. Solitude is so different from Loneliness, cause the former can make us feel fulfilled while the latter empty. But, we are social animals, right? At least, i don't think i could live a hundred year of solitude. i want to go out, get some fresh air and be the center of the attention once in a while. haha..maybe that's just me, but my point is why not ignore the line between an introvert and an extrovert? who says an introvert has to be quiet all the time? who says an extrovert really doesn't have time for deep analyses? the power of introverts and extroverts are both strong but equal, and if we can make a good use of both of them, we will have more power than ever!
