A comment on Talk: Leslie T. Chang: The voices of China's workers
We hear all the time how Apple's and all sort of north american products are produced by chinese workers for an (almost) insignificant amount of money but it's the first time I get an insight on how these people think and feel.
I've just been to China recently and was extremely surprised by how little English these people really know. People on the streets, taxi drivers, employees in shops and restaurants, security guards, etc. most often than not knew no English, just Chinese. Still, many of them carried iPhones and iPads!
