An idea worth spreading
I am currently developing a project called Stereopublic. The wish for this project is to create an ever-growing ambient sound map of your city via both an online space and a smartphone application. A short sound work will be made and named after the city location chosen. These sound pieces will then form part of a larger audio-walk, where public can take either a physical map and/or smartphone and set of headphones into their city, locate their space and experience the physical space and unique sound work on site.
I'm passionate about
Art and participation. Introversion and silence. Creativity for all.
Talk to me about
Participation and engagement. Cultural advocacy. Art in public spaces. Sound and music as a way to bring about a better world.
People don't know I'm good at
Working really quickly and rigorously. Speaking softly. Avoiding small talk.
My TED story
The project 'Stereopublic: Crowdsourcing the Quiet' is one of the TED Prize City 2.0 awards.
I attended TEDGlobal 2012 to meet with attendees, participate in the conference and to make contact with some incredible minds.
Attendance at the conference also allowed me to introduce myself to many inspiring TEDx'ers!
