More About Me

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about finding the way to happiness, through life and all its sectors.

Talk to me about

Talk to me about the way people think, how we should tolerate them in order to earn different experiences in order to survive and be fair in society.

People don't know that I'm good at

Generally speaking, everyone knows that my nature is a bit crazy and what my talents (including piano playing) are.

My TED Story

I heard of Ted from my piano teacher. I was asking her some pretty tough questions, about God, religion, and then we ended up talking about animals and what do they "think". Well, she told me should would send this awesome website by email, so I could check out some videos and create my own conversations. I am pretty shy to talk to everyday people about questions like finding who i really am, and what is my purpose, because usually, none of them gives me an answer except "Why are you asking me this". I try to do my best in searching the right questions and answers, and also the right people to talk to, because English is my second language and it is hard to try to search not in your native one. I do not really have a TED story, except how I heard from it, and why I decided to keep logging on.

A reply on Conversation: What occupies your thoughts?

Jun 26 2012: I have been thinking of this a while ago. I think people feel they must believe in a God, because this is the only way they can get through their problems, and it is their way to reach happiness and be functional in society. Even though I am not a religious person, I like to observe the way believers think and act, based upon biblical or other documents.

    Thanks for sharing.

Jun 26 2012: Since love is already said, I would say the world needs motivation.
  • A comment on Conversation: Does life really get better?

Jun 12 2012: I feel like life is what you make it. It may be really tough on you, but what really matters is the outcome. If it tough, it makes you stronger and develops your character. If life was just black and white, or a field with flowers, than what would be the fun of it? You have to overcome all these "obstacles" in order to achieve your best interests and wants. However, it may sound easy to talk about life, when we are not suffering because of lack of food, shelter of cloth. If we compare it to these needs, there is enough evidence to make us feel that life is good, and you do not need anything else.

One of my curiosities and my goals in life, is finding the purpose of it, part of which is your wonderful question. In an optimistic view, you would say that life does get better, and you keep hoping that you will achieve your goals and so on. But I feel that in a more realistic view, life does not get better. You get better, your point-of-views get better because the change, while gaining different experiences that make you grow and look at life differently.

In addition, life would be pointless without suffering. The point is "how much suffering". If we are able to reduce suffering and learn how to live, to serve the community and be happy, then yes, life gets better.

    Best wishes!

A comment on Conversation: How does bilingualism make you feel?

    Jun 8 2012: Hello,

I feel more special when I switch the language (albanian/English) with my sister. I feel like people are watching me and they wish they knew what I was talking about. I also feel that being bilingual, I am more open to new situations with languages. As my German teacher says...learning/speaking new languages helps your brain more than you think.

A comment on Conversation: What has been the most Extra Ordinary moment in your life so far ?

    Jun 8 2012: Hello Rafi!

I cannot say I have a lot of experiences like the rest of Ted community, because of my young age. However, one of my weird experiences if I can call it like that, because I still do not know if it is good, bad or both, is moving to United States. I came here 2 years ago from Albania, which is in Europe. I was not the most happy person in the world, but I made it through life, growing up and stuff. Well, my nature is that I fit in very easily, and I do not let other people think that I may not like the environment I am, so it is not a big deal from outside of a point of view. But, the most important thing is that this experience, is making me grow so much mentally. I have to face the stress of school, the stress of another language, the stress of my old friends, who I miss so much (I also learned who my real friends are now, since I do not communicate with all of them since I left).

In addition, my parents do not speak English very well. They have to do very random jobs here, and nobody really helps. I have to talk to bank managers, I have to help for the rent and everything with translation. It is just stressing for a 17 year old.

However I do not regret moving here. I may not be happy, but I will be happy in the end, knowing that everything went alright, and I faced everything alone. It looks a weird experience, if you have not tried it, but it has to do with psychological stuff, I reckon. It just feels weird to be so alone in a world full of people, when things did not turn out to be how your parents thought they would.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share!
P.S: apologies for the long and boring story:P

    Wish you the best.
