About Me

Hey y'all! My name is Darius Weems. I was born and raised in Athens, GA. I was born with DMD (Duchenne muscular dystrophy), the number one genetic killer of children in the world. I am currently 19 years old.

I am the star of a documentary called Darius Goes West. It is about me never leaving my hometown of Athens, GA. My friends and I decided to take a cross country road trip to try and get my wheelchair pimped on MTV's Pimp My Ride. We documented our travels as well as wheelchair accessibility around the U.S. We had an amazing time.

Now we are traveling around trying to sell a million copies of the DVD to raise 17 million dollars for research for my disease (DMD). We are traveling basically non-stop in order to find a cure or treatment for my disease.

Other than Darius Goes West, I am really into my music. I am currently trying to launch my rap career. I think I can really bring a different perspective to the rap game and spitting verses is a great way for me to get away from reality.
