I spent many years working in the restaurant industry, accounting & sales. In August of 2007 I left Canada after separating from my husband & traveled around South America. I spent the next 5 years traveling & checking off my bucket list. I operated a kite resort in Brazil, opened a kite school in Nicaragua & now have my kite school / travel business in the Yucatan, Mexico. I've learned a lot about myself & the world from my travels & experiences. My passion for sports & constant quest for excitement has lead me down an interesting path where I find myself as a Pro athlete at the age of 34. Currently i'm 3rd in Mexico for women's freestyle & looking forward to setting the Canadian speed record this June. I will be attending the world speed event in France in July where I hope to rank in the top 3!.
Helping people push past their own boundaries, fears & self doubts. I love seeing people accomplish things they never thought possible. I also love seeing people happy.
Redirecting energy. When something happens in your life that makes you spiral into depression, anger or frustration the energy created in your body is a lot stronger than the energy of euforia created by joy, love & happiness. The best way to cure your negative emotions is to redirect the energy into something positive for yourself or for others,. You will accomplish a lot more than when you are in a neutral or tranquil state. Negative energy can be a powerful catalyst for change. I have spent many years of my life helping friends & family at difficult times in their life by using this technique. When I had to take my own advice, I achieved my greatest goals in life. I took an experience of almost being murdered & brutally raped in Nicaragua into being a professional extreme sports athlete at the age of 34 within a year & a half and owning my own kiteboarding school & travel centre in Mexico. When we understand we have the power to redirect energy, anything is possible.
The power of using sport as a way to get back your control in your life.
I understand wine & love the process of making it. Other than owing my kiteboarding school I would love to have a vineyard. They also seem really surprised when I say i'm good at accounting.
