  • A reply on Conversation: Should caring for child who is medically considered 'obese' be claimed as child abuse?

Jun 7 2012: I mean I disagree that caring for a child who is obese should be claimed as child abuse.
It's training them to be stronger. :)

A reply on Conversation: How do you actually cope with depression?

Jun 7 2012: Hi Ivan, yes i tried it myself. The blog is private, so there's no chance of anyone reading it. Then I can pen all my feelings down without the fear of anyone judging. As I write more and read back on what I wrote, I find it actually amusing sometimes at what I posted. It's like, you have to find some humility in yourself then you can take life easier. :)
Whenever you are feeling down, you can just write it down, even if it's 10 or 20 times a day.
    No one would judge you.

I wish you all the best. :)
  • A comment on Conversation: Should caring for child who is medically considered 'obese' be claimed as child abuse?

Jun 5 2012: Nope, we all know the intentions of controlling the child's diet. As long as it's not to the extreme, I believe it is healthy to control the child's diet when he is young, so that he will grow up or grow used to the food that he usually eats.
We should also educate them on the benefits of exercise, get them exposed to different sports, as they might just find themselves a new sports hobby! :) The main idea here is to get them off the couch and build a healthy psyche from young.

A reply on Conversation: How do you actually cope with depression?

Jun 5 2012: Yes I agree to exercising and eating healthily. At least it makes you feel good about yourself.

Talking to a close peer or family member whom you are comfortable with helps to. At least you get someone to know about your problems and I'm sure they will be there if you need them.

Or start a blog to write down your feeling and thoughts, or why are you feeling upset. Then as you read back on your posts, you might just as well identify the root of the problems. :)
Also, writing helps you to relieve stress and if you are not comfortable with telling anyone the problems, it can be a very helpful..

A comment on Conversation: As a teacher, what kind of attitude would be desirable?

Jun 5 2012: I think the education system needs teacher like you. You should be proud of yourself of being different.
Maybe you can inspire other teachers to be different as well, so dont change yourself! :)
  • A reply on Conversation: How can we avoid being judgemental?

May 12 2012: Hi Norma, yes i couldn't agree more. We are not in any way perfect to have the right to judge people we dont know about.
  • A reply on Conversation: How can we avoid being judgemental?

May 12 2012: Hi Edwars, thanks for your helpful comment. In other words, we should make the best of our ability to see beyond instead of just what is on the surface. Do you mean it's not about judging or not judging, its rather more of how should we judge and what do we gain out of the judgement we made?
  • A reply on Conversation: Is there a correlation between ambiguity of the hands/feet/body with the Left and Right Hemispheres increased Activity of the Brain?

May 10 2012: Haha yeap! I practice my left hand to write and play badminton. It was really handy esp. when it comes to exams like history paper. There is so much to write and I practically switched hand to do it.
Even playing badminton when you use too much of right hand and you will feel your left hand isn't exercising at all. lol
  • A comment on Conversation: Ideas on HOW to consume information

May 9 2012: I think to register information into your head is to try finding something you can relate it to your own personal experiences or the people you know. Only then it will leave an impression.
As you suggests, visual learning helps a great deal as well. More visual interaction and less of text makes a topic interesting.
Or another way is to play a game with yourself or someone else about what you have learned, like asking question (Q&A) and see who scores. :)
  • A comment on Conversation: Can Enforcement make difference in corruption prevention?

May 9 2012: The best way is to replace those corrupted people, because no matter what regulations, they will still find ways to commit corruption.
But, good regulations against corruption work too. :)
