Apr 15 2012: I'll come with a elaborate answer tomorrow. I'm tired.
My idea of power is exactly the same as Friedrich Nietzsche's will zur macht. The human hunger for power. Interesting concept to read about if you're researching this. Again, I'll edit this and elaborate tomorrow.
- a communal accepted reality: A reality that's accepted by a community (most likely close to you).
The example I like is about earth. In medieval times people actually believed the earth was flat. It was a communal accepted reality. By several attempts of logically explaining the earth was flat people, with the logic of that time, made the self governed reality that the earth its flat. The universal reality was the earth is round. But they could not know that universally, hence the personal reality never aligned with the universal reality. Something we humans strive for, though I don't know why.
This also means you can, with this information and knowledge, at all times, change your own reality. Use it, because as you said, having a negative reality (doing x will physically hurt me for example) will have a negative effect on your approach on x, and most likely increase the chance X actually harms you while it can be completely harmless. It is however not hopeless, all you need to do is say: X will be pleasant. (notice the positive wording). Always put something in a positive, your life'll become a whole lot better.
I don't know exactly what you mean by purchasing power. But if you mean willingness to purchase something. The effect is huge. But any salesman that's prohicient with hypnosis and NLP can easially manipulate your negative reality into a positive one and get you to buy regardless :).
Apr 15 2012: I'm a hypnotist. The insight I can give you is unique. When you're hypnotized, when you ever have been hypnotized your reality changes. What is reality? Many philosophers discussed it, made claims. Many of them were wrong. Many of them might be right. Plato said reality is not here, its above us in the world of idea's. Hence all we see are shadows of reality.
In my opinion, as a hypnotist and philosopher. Will require a bit of explanation. We are constantly imagining. Always, at all times. Have you ever looked at a chair with clothing on it in the dark? What do you see? We see five different things. We see a man sitting in the chair, or a woman. We see clothing, maybe a particular colored piece only. We might see a chair with clothing on it. But what shapes the acknowledged reality? Why is it our brain says: There's no man on the chair, its not just a shirt. Its clothing and a chair. So stop bloody hiding under the sheets!
Our brains constantly make decisions. Constantly orders reality from fiction. Look at your hand and imagine a set of keys. Move your hand and hear the keys move. There you successfully hypnotized yourself for a second. Why do the keys disappear? Your brains said: Nope. Not true.
Your brain does this by making a logical decision. With the chair example. Could there be a man on the chair? Could be... but if there would be one I would have heard him. (at this point you still see the silouhette). But I did not, well maybe he was silent. But then how did he get into the house. Well maybe its a ghost. There's no such thing as ghosts... ah I placed my clothes on the chair and the lightning conditions make it so it looks like a man. So its just clothing.
So what governs your reality?
A communal accepted reality, that's according to your current believes and logic: true. Is your personal reality.
- Personal reality: Something that's real to yourself. But does not have to be true universal reality. The earth may be round, but what is it to you?
Apr 15 2012: To comment as first person real quickly (ran out of word quota). What I'm looking for from you guys is:
- How would I promote such a platform?
- Would it work?
- Would you be interested?
- Any questions regarding this?
I also see I made a small mistake.
''Now with multi theft auto the singleplay (you can only play it by yourself) game GTA turns into a multiplayer game. Inside MTA you can pick servers, each having their own purpose. Now within these servers are roleplay severs.''
I noticed this is a bit unclear and all over the place.
- Grand Theft auto is a single player game and played by yourself.
- MTA is a modification which turns it into a multiplayer game (where you play and interact with other people).
- MTA has servers. Like DM and racing servers. But it also have roleplay servers.
- Roleplay servers are servers where real life is copied. You're a normal human in a virtual world. Only here you can do and become anything you like (or cant become in real life). You could be a police officer, or run the police. Manage a company, run as an anchor for the news or be the new Al Capone.
