A comment on Conversation: How do you think we can motivate young people to perceived and purposeful studying?

Jun 10 2012: I'm a big fan of home-schooling as I myself was home-taught. I'm in college now and am preparing to teach my own future children.
I believe that to get children to actually want to learn, to build a love for learning, you should teach the things they like. Of course, you don't throw away all subjects that may be boring to young ones. You still should teach them what they need to know, but if your son really likes dinosaurs, why not learn in-depth about dinos in addition to core subjects? he still is learning isn't he? This really isn't something you can get in public schools. Those teachers can't stray away from cirriculum for the passion of one child when there is a whole class to be taught.

A comment on Talk: Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity

Apr 2 2012: What an interesting personality. I'd really like to talk to him for a while.
I really wish this sort of idea was taught or even at least presented to those studying to be an educator.
