How have you benefited from TED?
I've only recently been introduced to the forum and actively watching TED. I just really enjoy having some respite from other mindless blogs that invite idiotic, mundane threads and comments. That said, I appreciate the quality of the topics as well as the comments. I think it fosters a thinking environment and creates a community based on respectful, intelligent, and rational (most the time) communication. I hope to continue to be a part of such a group!

Can we think of a better way to communicate between vehicles than the traditional horn?
So I wasn't the only one with this idea ;) In all seriousness I really thought it would be useful to have a small screen of about 2-3 inches like you say and maybe 2 feet long to stream messages, like in the case the person behind you is encroaching your territory a bit in traffic jam type slow-downs. The tough part would be keeping the conversation germane. Perhaps we should keep the horn for now.

"If you can't win, change the rules." this is what we should do with financial crisis.
Tomasz, I think you're hitting on something very powerful and important. As time continues to move forward in the age of the internet, it is difficult not to notice the ineffectual nature of our "representative" government. Comedian Joe Rogan talks a lot about this on his podcast (along with an assortment of other fascinating explicit themes), "The Joe Rogan Experience," about how eventually the greater internet will eventually be the government; that is, we the people will govern. At this point, there is no sense in speaking of war; if and when the revolution occurs it will be the voice of the many simply overwhelming the status quo, and its nature will be peaceful.
