A comment on Talk: Mark Applebaum: The mad scientist of music

Aug 3 2012: Well, NO DISRESPECT to the so many of his own perceptions about himself, but, all of this which he is doing or trying to do has been unknowingly, without seeking an answer to whether it is music or not, has been done/composed/interpreted/improvised/invented/performed/dramatised/choreographed decades back by the great indian music maestro KISHORE KUMAR.

He didn’t think of whether something is music or not! Rather, he made the music interesting! Not only for himself, but for everyone! The instrument which Mark has built consists of all the components which, in their native form, were an integral part of Kishore Kumar's music back in 1960's & 70's.

I think the first mad scientist of music was Kishore Kumar.

  • A reply on Talk: Questions no one knows the answers to

Apr 18 2012: "the universe" as the 'the all encompassing everything that permeates all levels of everything'!!

John, I would suggest a slight change in the same..."the all encompassing everything, WHICH WE CAN PERCEIVE OR IMAGINE, that permeates all levels of everything"!

So, when you go out of the purview of that 'all', you talking about universes. Or, as the video quietly referred to all beyond all as 'infinity'.

Apr 18 2012: Ahaaa!! This 12 minutes video has just said it all which has had my head spun like hell. It has every single thought which was ever assembled by my brain. Video has captured all of my imagination and thoughts! Kudos.
  • A reply on Talk: Jonathan Foley: The other inconvenient truth

Apr 18 2012: exactly! just as we need to prevent the wastage of the other available resources, we also need to prevent the wastage here. Humanity as one single community needs to be in sync before we extinct ourselves out of here and, we can certainly find more such stuff which can be served for all of us before we sit on the table. But, geographical insecurities needs to be settled first.
  • A reply on Conversation: You want to make God laugh? Tell him about your plans...

Apr 1 2012: Thanks Ella. And, yes! not at the expense of someone else! Well, I tried to give yet another reason to be happy when somehow magnetic influence of the sad state creates repulsion. Ok, lets put this into an example..lets say i want X or want to do Y stuff... but, I neither get X nor get to do Y.. in that case, in simple words ..probably, there would be someone else happier in my shoes..again not at the expense of that someone..but a momentary feel of a comfortably numb state..and, then get back to state of belief and happiness and start with a fresh hunt for a brand new X/Y.

And, thanks for recommending the book. Cheerio!
  • A comment on Conversation: Are we limited or limitless?

Apr 1 2012: We will get limited the day we decode the very processor 'brain' in our heads and till then we are and will continue helping the theory of evolution. Till then, what Maryanne Williamson said is what I believe in.

'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.' Maryanne Williamson
  • A comment on Conversation: You want to make God laugh? Tell him about your plans...

Apr 1 2012: Very well articulated. Though, it is true and sort of self-pleasing to say that being happy is about doing what you want, but, the very premise of saying that is self-contradictory, as it is flirting with the rules of our planet, all of which come under the purview of 'demand & supply'. Just doing what you want can at times be very hard or rather improbable to achieve or obtain because of the increase in the degree of randomness in our society. And, there either one tries to downplay the same so as to attain the state of happiness, or will be heading into dark shades of sadness. When you say that you need to learn a number of things vis-a-vis the state of being happy, you are confining the two-facet world into one. One needs to accept and be happy about the very fact that he/she can also get unhappy because of which someone else is getting happier. Yes, there is definitely something to learn :) which is 'going with the flow'!! Experience the limited time of yours before you lose your ability to feel your physical presence.
  • A comment on Conversation: which is better? 'A well planned life where you live acording to your plans' or 'a sponatneous life driven by instincts'?

Mar 27 2012: this is shit... that is cool... he just struck a pot full of dictatorial monetary blocks..he is ranked highest amongst... PAGE #3... fortune 500... Million $ PA... blah blah blah...
so then, what was cool in that? how he got a monetary shower? why he opt that? what's next ? how is it going to be ? OMG!! where the hell am i in it ?? one cant help the cognitive factor that always tends to have an effect on what one does!

mold, regulate, shape, tempt, magnetize... a pernicious and malign influence that is hard to get rid of is what you and me are dealing with! it's an encroachment of our mind space! this very reference of the various related talks which you have included and this very post itself is an encroachment!

i personally believe that one can only help oneself vis-a-vis personal interest is to stop the encroachment the moment you get to discover your love. in this context only, few phrases i always connect with, are from steve's speech at stanford, which are ..'you are already naked' ; 'your time is limited'..
