Apr 6 2013: This has been the most amazing TED talk. Allan Savory does not complain, does not blame, does not waste time, he just devotes his work life to find solutions for desertification – and is proving that changes are possible, now! What an amazing scientist! What an amazing being!
May 7 2012: I have just started using Amara today and find it a bit 'scary'. Why? I thought Amara would start from what DotSub offered. But, not yet: I can't press enter to go to the next entry. Cannot watch the video with the subtitles and edit and see the results immediately. To go to 'my tasks' is a long 'navigation' as I'm not able to bookmark the page with the task in my language. I have to go back to the email from Amara and start from there. And it still wants to confirm my languages!!! If I stop translating for what appears to be one or two minutes I get a window asking if I'm gonna stop or continue. Feels somehow more contrived. Somehow it's taking away some of the engagement that translating requires. I do lots of research on the subject and spend more than a few minutes away from the translation. …Sorry about talking like this. But with DotSub was extremely simple. It feels as if it's colliding with the TED talks that I so much cherish. What happened?
