Gian Giudice: Why our universe might exist on a knife-edge
A physical medium has the ability to move objects through walls and has been doing it for hundreds of years. This has been witnessed on numerous occasions. Chi energy has been known of for hundreds of years. Human beings are alive only as long as a 'spirit' is part of it.. Science slowly catches up with what has been known of for hundreds of years. Luckily this information is kept from politicians and war mongers. Wise people understand what love is and even though bomb makers try to blow it up thankfully it cannot be destroyed. While scientists hunt for the meaning of life, all around people are killing each other plus the killing and destroying is increasinging not decreasing. When the elite learn 'psychic' is true then perhaps we can move toward a peaceful world.

Jackson Katz: Violence against women—it's a men's issue
If a young girl is hit by a father then told she is loved if this is repeated a number of times it can install as a belief. The belief being 'hurt and love' will often surface in teenage years where the girl attracts a boy with similar characteristics to the father. She finds someone who when pushed enough will hurt her but it is okay so so long as he says he loves her. Others have said the same as me, it is very much down to childhood conditioning. Like it or not, we will follow the patterns of the family unless we change ourselves, so little changes due to this 'family pattern' syndrome.

Angela Lee Duckworth: The key to success? Grit
What I love about TED is how from around the world people are connected. We all live in our unique worlds brought about by individual environments. Where does the idea of fasting begin? Where does the idea of anorexia begin? Both require a reduction in food intake. If reducing food intake is the answer then maybe anorexia is not a problem. I prefer my time to be used helping people 'get well', therefore little time is available for debates, unless I learn something which can be used to help people live happier lives.

Angela Lee Duckworth: The key to success? Grit
What creates 'grit' has been known about for many years. All human beings have 'belief' systems which control capability and behavior. These belief systems are often installed at a very young age, out of conscious awareness, they still have total control. One example from many is this. If a child is told they are stupid and it installs into the system the instruction will be followed. The child may show willing all the time thereby fooling the observer. No matter what incentives or motivation is offered the beneath awareness belief will finally get control. The really good news is that NLP practioners (I am one) around the world have the knowledge how to change limiting beliefs. Good, caring and inspiring educators are getting more rare so please keep up with the good work.

Depression is an Illness!
I am not troubled or frustrated with 'depression'. Which is not a disease. I am frustrated with people who cannot read properly. You must be the world expert thinking it is a disease so please go save the world and leave me in peace. Perhaps you have too much spare time or are trying to find a friend to which I decline.

Depression is an Illness!
For a number of years I and other NLP practitioners have been helping people of all ages to resolve their depression. Stop wasting yours and my time debating clinical issues. If like us you can help by resolving , curing or whatever you wish to call it continue to comment. if you cannot then clear off and get a life. It cost money to train in NLP why don't you stop messing about and do something like learning then i will have time for you. My belief is ninety percent of ailments start in the mind. Doctors and hospitals are welcome to the remaining ten percent.

Depression is an Illness!
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't 'given the chance the majority of cases deteriorate without intervention' the same as healing? What on earth is a 'slow grinding down of happiness'?

Depression is an Illness!
Depression is not an illness but a healing process. A person not able to resolve a trauma at the time will attempt to think the problem through. In order to think, the mind slows down and after a while the slowing down becomes a habit. Ask any depressed person 'what happened' a few years before the onset and almost always they will describe a trauma. Like so many similar symptoms, it is mostly due to emotion trapped with no way out logically.

Sanjay Pradhan: How open data is changing international aid
Lawrence, how correct you are. The UK must take the cake for corruption. Clever people have set up charities, encouraged poor people to donate and once the 'honey pot' built up awarded themselves salaries up to and beyond ONE MILLION POUNDS. Our well known Mr Archer an ex prisoner in the British government freely amitted to making his initial money in charity. How can it be the protection offered to these corrupt people exists so easily. What world does this speaker live in, obviously not a real one.
