A comment on Talk: Tristram Stuart: The global food waste scandal
I believe food waste is happening because people are spoiled: food is cheap, always available and people take it for granted.
On the other hand if I was served bad quality meal at a restaurant, I would not eat it or take it home. So I think at some level food waste could be related to food quality.
I believe that businesses dealing with food (restaurants, grocery stores, hotels, catering companies, etc.) should be made accountable for their food waste. To me If business has a lot of food waste it means either food quality is bad or they have problems managing their supply process.
