About Me

I am a college student searching for a purpose. I am studying abroad at the University of Manchester for this semester, studying psychology and working toward the Manchester Leadership and Service Award. Back home in Pittsburgh, I attend Carnegie Mellon University as a bachelor of humanities and arts in psychology and architecture. I'm involved in the sorority Alpha Chi Omega and the co-ed service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. I've been involved with community service and volunteering for most of my life and would like to find a career in non-profit or social enterprise. I am a dreamer and I truly believe that all it takes to change the world is an idea and someone just crazy enough to pursue it into reality. I want to spread this kind of insanity.
I want to be amazing in a way that the world can see. I want to create beautiful and spectacular art. I want to show people that they can make a difference. I want to help each person find happiness in their lives and in themselves. I want to create relationships that bridge the gaps of stereotypes, cultures, countries, space and time. I want to make things possible that no one thought could happen. I want to cross boundaries and break rules in order to find a new way of life that changes our current ideas. I want to explore the world for what it has: the natural beauty of its landscapes and the natural genius of its people. I want to be a leader and a follower. I want to make a difference. I am a dreamer with the main dream of finding the inspiration, the courage, and just enough insanity to become more of a doer.

More About Me

I'm passionate about

ideas, helping others, exploring with childlike curiosity, and searching for more things to be passionate about.

An idea worth spreading

I'm still trying to shape my ideas but one I've been most focused on trying to form is the idea of using our resources to truly connect everyone. The internet reaches such a large portion of our population and it is used to connect people but it seems to me that it connects us mostly in superficial ways. Using it and our other technologies could allow people to be friends while living in separate countries and while it already does that it seems like it could happen more. Connect people for more than friendship but for help and support and creativity. I think our current world has so much potential to be something truly great with freedoms and peaceful relationships across countries and societies and religions and everything.

Talk to me about

anything and everything. I'd love to have a conversation with you.

People don't know that I'm good at

hiding my pain in favor of helping others through theirs.

My TED Story

I've found inspiration and comfort in watching TED talks. I'd seen several before but was recently invited to a TEDx event that I could not attend and got started watching more including being able to watch the live stream of the TEDx event. I've found a passion for ideas and the connections and inspirations they can bring people.
